A little bit up the hill from the main road (steep but possible to cycle for me). The gate entrance to the Place is directly at the main road, towards the east, quite visible with signs.

The place has a small parking lot.
A clean restaurant and bar.
They're renting a cabin (one cabin) with own bathroom and electricity.
Friendly staff and some dogs and chickens.
WiFi 4mb/s.

Around the restaurant and cabin, I couldn't hear the road, but I didn't pay special attention.

Seems kids and family friendly.

They grow and sell their own coffee.

The owner was very happy having a foreigner as a guest and told me very excited that once a couple from Europe rented a cabin.

I pitched up my tent somewhere on the property. They don't have fixed prices for tents. They said, if I want to give a small donation, I can.

About 30 minutes from Walnut Flats along Dismal Creek Road. Many lay-bys along the way. Level. Suitable for a caravan. 1.5 bars of AT&T.

Spring water out of the side of the mountain. approx 1 gallon per minute flow.

Quite place next to a river. We had a quite night. At the daytime some fishermen where around.
we also saw a lot of "nutria" swimming in the water. (animal from south america)
The trees are hanging deep, so no big ring friendly.

Moody Springs water fill. approx 1 gallon per minute, not anlble to hook up a hose to outlet. there is a steel pipe the water comes out. water bottle used to extend over edge of rockface.

Great spot outside of Antigua. Has a restaurant, toilet, lukewarm shower, and a number of other amenities. 20 minute walk to centro or a cheap Uber ride in if you prefer to park and chill when near cities as I do!

One of many spots along MC Rd, most are nice although not too far off the road. No traffic at night though, pretty quiet. Fire ring, no other amenities. Useable cell service.
Small, steepish trail down to the river with tent spots/fire rings down there. Ok for fishing and a view of the spillway from below.

Directions of all previous posts are wrong. There is no RV parking. Grass is 3ft tall for tent camping. The exit with the Pilot gas station is the way to get there.

you can get car insurance for 1 month for 5000 kazakh tenge or 10 USD. Tell them in the city it costs 5 USD and haggle a bit.

Great safe spot especially for a solo woman traveler for the night. I got in just before the sunset and there was a truck camper and fifth wheel here. Tons of space for many rigs and a great clean bathroom stocked with toilet paper and sanitizer

Beautiful place for the price with warm showers, bbq.. you can fish in the river!

Now in offseason we were the only guests in the whole (pretty large) resort .. They have an infinity pool, other pools, several waterslides, a restaurant.. The showers were cold and pretty disgusting tough (idk if they just gave us the employee showers, because they didnt want to open the normal bathrooms) - i wouldnt mind but with 5degrees outside temperature a hot shower would have been nice :/

I did it with a 30 ft RV and I would not recommend you to do the same but it is feasible by the south road.

They don’t appear to be open for fuel anymore. There was a pump with petrol here- (1.5894465, 37.8025278)
203kes per liter. There is another pump on the south end of town but that one didn’t have petrol.

Not sure what anyone else is talking about for vehicle height limits. There is a second entrance and another, larger yard to stay in if you don't fit under the main gate. I drove the road in all the way to the park and turned around in their parking lot, and there was no obstruction to speak of. If your vehicle is *longer* (length, not height) than, say 8.5 meters, you may run into some difficulties getting situated in the yard, but that's about it.

The downside is that the yard is on a slope. Also, there are large, biting ants here and there around the property. No big deal, but keep a clean camp.
The neighbor on this side has a really friendly burro who comes to the fence line for head scratches (and is probably also hoping for snacks).

I'm not sure why anyone would stay here unless the free campground on the other side of the bridge is full or closed.

Don't believe this. All of the pet importation services for both Honduras and El Salvador are located in the aduana building near the other bridge, where you go to get/cancel your El Salvador TIP.

There is also an office on the Honduras side of that same bridge, but it was closed when I went through. Not sure if it was a temporary or permanent closure, but judging from the instructions I got from border staff, it felt long term.

Showers are closed right now. They probably open for first au June.

No no overnight parking sign down the hill. There’s a piknic table, amazing view. No place for big rigs, more for vans.

What a hidden gem of a spot! Very easily accessible, especially when other forest roads are closed. Absolutely tranquil and quiet. Turn off the main road onto a little dirt pathway and it’ll be around the corner. It’s smaller than large but perfect for camping for the night! Loved it!

Here you can buy a sim card with your passport as a foreigner. After not being able to buy a sim card in the Claro Stores in San Ignacio, I came here and was able to buy one. The man took a copy of my passport, but no fingerprints required. Took about 10 minutes. Paid 20 soles total, 10 soles for the chip, plus 10 soles for data (3GB for 10 days).

This is an okay camping to stay while in Santiago. With a little bit of effort this could be a great place. There is dog poop and trash all around. Bathrooms would need to be cleaned more often. Shower is usually hot. You can use the washing machine for free, but note that it uses only cold water. In my opinion the quality of wash was not very good. Wifi works only next to the house. Uber to the center of Santiago takes 30-90 minutes depending on the traffic and costs about 14-18 euros one way. Camping price in May 2024 was 10 000 pesos per person per night.
