Fairly easy to find and enter, big rigs and campers will fit depending on spaces already occupied. They have a mix of rentals for you to sleep in too.
There is a restaurant with camp ground considered public space so expect day visitors and into the evening too. Friendly staff, all hard working! Clean environment. Lena ordered garafones for us to fill our water tanks.
The music stops around 10pm, gate is locked and there is security on property.
In the morning Kevin the peacock starts honking around the same time you hear roosters crowing in the distance. Then the traffic follows shortly after.
Not in their control but, only complaint would be the burning of trash seems to be a daily ritual in the neighborhood.

Brilliant camping, very creative. Easy to reach with a big rig. We stayed 7 nights. Showers electric showerhead, so temperature okay. Restaurant had great food, and the rate was low (150q per night). Electricity and wifi all worked well. We had some mechanical issues, the mechanic just outside was extremely helpful. Recommend this place!

Report Check-In

Price is 160Q/2ppn in car with rooftop tent. Bathrooms are really clean with tp and soap. Shower with electric heater is warm if you have low pressure. The complex is grassy with swimming pool and trees. One of the best campsites. During weekend there can be a small local market, also with food stalls. But don't worry there are not many visitors, so the place isn't overcrowded.

Report Check-In

We slept three nights here in our van (rooftop tent). The area is nice. However the loud music from the bar lasts until late evening. You can do laundry, just be aware that there is only cold water wash available. Also the water in the shower is not hot, barely warm.

Report Check-In

Awesome campgrounds with a lot of great amenities! We stayed for about 10 days and pretty much had the whole place to ourselves with a couple other campers coming in for a night or two. The property was absolutely beautiful and very well maintained with a nice pool and swings. When it’s not cloudy you get awesome views of 3 volcanos! The campground is connected to a restaurant and bar with pool tables and other games. They also offer converted vans and trucks to stay in which is pretty cool. They had very clean bathrooms and hot showers. The staff was excellent and very nice and helpful. We paided $150Q per night with electricity! We would definitely recommend.

Report Check-In

Lovely spot. strongly recommend for a longer break. Amenities are great, wifi actually works even in campsite. Toilet is fine and a high pressure warm water shower. feels great! Food and drinks are sold too. Laundry facility, all good.

Report Check-In

Still nice.... Clean and friendly!! 150Q for camping

Report Check-In

We wanted to stay with our rig and empty our foul water tanks into their Sani Dump before setting up camp. We were told we can empty into the toilet, which may work with a Porta Potti, but not for us. Contrary to what one of the photos suggest, there seems to be no genuine Dump Station. We moved on.

Report Check-In

Decent place to stay if you need warm shower, bathrooms and electricity! They also have laundry services. Just a bit pricey.
The grounds are cool to look around- school buses, truck, helicopter converted into places to sleep and rent.
The restaurant isn’t terrible, but Ben’s Hamburguesas next door is fantastic!
Also yes, loud music all day but we didn’t have any trouble when going to sleep (on a Saturday night).

Report Check-In

Super lieu très apprécié des enfants: grande pelouse piscine chats paons. La nourriture est correcte et le rum a 10Q!
Sanitaires super propres douches chaudes
Musique pas gênante
Recommande ++ même si le prix est élevé pour le Guatemala

Report Check-In

Nice camping friendly staff. Clean toilet and shower. Yes unfortunately the music is loud and bad but stops around 22:30. 150 Quetzales per night is top limit......

Report Check-In

We stayed a week here. Had some good times and some truly awful times.

Pros.
Every morning I woke up to an erupting volcano. Sat and watched for hours every morning. Afternoons and evenings you couldn’t see it and when you could it wasn’t erupting large.

There was plenty of space to park.

Wifi was average. Worked about 50% of the time but was fast when it did work.

The restaurant wifi is better. Ask bartender.

Pool

20 minute walk to town.

Hard to find a market. We shop like locals. Not in supermarkets. There is one in town but not walkable.

TukTuk is 30 for a ride to the center.

Cons…..

Be prepared to not sleep until 11:00. I’m a hard sleeper which is why I came here despite the warnings but it’s like a rave. So loud inside my rig my heart could feel the base. Week days it was off by 10:00 weekends 11:00+ or until everyone who’s drunk and partying leaves. This is a locals hangout. You will have belligerent drunk people around your rig. We had a sloppy drunk couple making out on our rig shaking it and waking us up at 11:00. Most miserable time here.

Everything is overpriced. I paid 900 for one week. 128 a night or 6 nights paid one free.

If you don’t want to party every night and get drunk don’t come here. You’ll hate life. If I could afford to go somewhere else I would. I learned a lesson on this one.

This place has CRAZY potential. It would be the hottest spot around if the music and people weren’t so awful. The place is PERFECT for kids and animals. We had a blast until bedtime every night. See Antigua and move on.

Side note. We smoke too. They have a sign posted no smoking. However, we never were bothered. But also didn’t ask.

This would be a hippie haven if the music wasn’t so bad. Change that and it would be a killer place. ✌🏻

Very cool place! This campground is just on the outside edge of Antigua, a great spot to escape the crowds but still within walking distance. They have some unique old car and several rooms for rent that are old converted buses, transport truck and even a helicopter. We paid 150 Q for the night, which included free wifi. The bathrooms are nice and they also have facilities to do laundry if you need it. There is a nice restaurant on site and the food is really good. For a full video review check out our YouTube channel Chris and Tovah's Amazing Adventures.

Report Check-In

Lovely funky spot that was INCREDIBLY pet friendly. We did laundry for 25Q a load. No loud music on a Friday, super quiet after about 9:30pm. We loved it here. Amazing views of volcanos and great birds. The swings and helicopter in a tree were a highlight!

Report Check-In

150 Qtz is just insane so we only stayed one night. The place itself looks cool with nice accessories and stuff but no way worth 150 qtz a night especially cos the music is really loud.

Go to the police parking lot here in Antigua where u can stay free for 5 days IF you have a van with toilet ( they don’t want ppl peeing in the parking lot) or go to “verde eventos” it’s only 75 qtz a night and the place is beautiful and super quiet during the week.

Report Check-In

We paid 130 Q per vehicle per night. Toilets and shower ok, played loud music all day until 11pm.

Report Check-In

Report Check-In

As described :) Great place, and the only place near enough to town for rigs of any substantial size.

Report Check-In

Very quick overnight. Lots of amenities, including a pool, poolside bar, eatery, another bar, lots of seating, large grassy area, stage, and trampoline. It was the most confining camping area we’ve experienced since the U.S., with rigs parked very close together. I’m guessing it was busier at the beginning of Semana Santa? The campground is about a 20-minute walk to the city center and it’s a lovely walk. At the campground, a DJ played loud music until late. In the morning, an exuberant peacock helped us greet the day, early. If your goal is to meet other travelers, this is a top place to be. For us, I think we’d prefer a little more peace and space. 110 Q for two adults/one child.

Report Check-In

Highly recommended, safe place, great views, pool, bathrooms and all amenities clean, hot water, electricity. The administration people very accessible, we pay Q$100 pn we stay a week, very fast internet wifi

Report Check-In

Great camping with nice people. Hot shower (only in 1 shower), very clean toilets with tp. Everything good for kids. Nice view on the volcanos around. We recommend! 150Q per night for family of 5 and RV.

Report Check-In

we stayed at this for a couple of nights because we needed to take a hot shower after hiking the Fuego hike, fill up with water, and do laundry. the grassy area is very nice and the dogs loved it. I agree about the loud music though, even when no one is around it's quite loud, but usually settles down around 10. they have this full wet bar with mixers, but said they don't make cocktails there? and as the locals start getting drunker and the music gets louder they start harassing the peacock they have on site and it's annoying. super weird. there were lots of travelers there when we were there. they clean the bathrooms twice a day and everything was spotless. I wish the shower had more flow to it, but I was just happy it was hot. it was a nice place, but to expensive given that it's more catered to the bars. we ended up going across town to Verde Eventos where it's only 75q a night, but no showers.

Report Check-In

We stayed here for two weeks. Yes, it does get a little louder here on the weekends but I believe some of the previous posts are a little dramatic... Even on the weekends, the music stops well before 11PM. It's a beautiful place and was for us very kid friendly, with a trampoline, fun old cars and a pool with inflatable slide. You always met friendly locals who hang out here. There is events on the weekends like bin fires, live music, DJ (in the afternoon!!) and a clown show. Bathrooms are clean, hot shower and laundry service 25Q/load. You have a view of volcano agua and if lucky, can see Fuego errupting. Only negative for us was the slow and spotty wifi. 20min walk to main square in town.

Report Check-In

I’d like to give this place a good review, but… the music from 2 bars inside the compound competes with each other all day long and until around 11 at night. If it was just one sound track that would be OK but the cacophony of 2 different loud speaker systems playing different styles of music at the same time — even when the bar has emptied out — is enough to drive you mad. I talked to the owner and he just shrugged. Other than that, it is an interesting site. Seems with less overlanders and hostel seekers travelling they’ve started catering to local kids and it’s become a bit of an evening hangout. Not good value for the 150q per night.

Report Check-In

Loud loud music from 9-10 am to 11 at night. Two bars relatively close to one and other both play different LOUD music at the same time. I mean wow my head is banging after two days spent here. Never agin.

Report Check-In

Stayed here after the hike on the Acatenango. We needed a shower, otherwise we would have go to Isaac in antigua. The shower was warm, toillets clean and the place very fancy with all the cars. However there os constantly loud music and the price 100pp plus 50 for electricity is ridiculous for what you have. The people working there are very friendly and one can easily explore antigua from there.

Report Check-In

Best place we stayed since leaving Mexico. Charged us 150Q for a 24 ft van and 50q to do laundry. Hot showers, wifi comes in and out but is good when it's in, offered electric but didn't need, restaurant is good but a little pricey. Mostly impressed by the hot showers.

Report Check-In

Thanks for the tips, the place is amazing, a bit away from the city and its noise, 20min by walking to the center, the bar here stops quite early, the night are very quiet. You have the possibility to rent a room into a helicopter, a truck, a rooftop set on a vw beetle and few other choices. Beautiful view of the fuego volcano, that is active active now. I'm traveling on bike and they were very nice to low down the price if I stayed few days. Every accommodations and hot water. Here lives as well some "pavo real"! Great place!

Report Check-In

Nothing to add on. Super Beautiful Place to Explore Antigua.
Lovely People, very clean Place and Sanitary, good food and drinks at the bar.
Totally Recommended Place

Report Check-In

We can’t really recommend this place when we feel you can stay at Verde Eventos for less than half the price. Wifi can only be accessed in the restaurant and it doesn’t always work! The workers are inconsistent with their prices and boy is it unnecessarily loud! Go to Isaacs at Verde Eventos, be close to everything in Antigua, have your DIY shower there (lots of access to potable water) and walk to the very many cafes that offer speedy wifi for your internet. Perks however are the washing machine and the dump station!

Report Check-In

Only campground far and wide. First we counted 150 Qpro night, then only 100 Q. And because we were there twice (over 3 weeks in total) we also got a night for free. Electrical connection here and there (good to have an extension cable), water to refill and a sewer. Very basic rustic shower (cold) and toilet. Walk to Antigua, take Uber to Guatemala City. Friendly but distant staff. Loud music from morning to evening, in the back seats it is quieter. On weekends a lot going on (like everywhere in Central America) WiFi went sometimes, sometimes not

Report Check-In

Five stars for this campsite, really loved it here ! Very cool and different concept with converted vans, a pool and decent WiFi. Bathrooms were also clean and well kept. Only paid 100Q for two of us in our small camper for one night.

Report Check-In

great great great place. the place is pretty with loads of fun stuff to do (swimmingpool, trampoline, swings, weird old cars), and with very helpful staff.
they wanted 150Q per night. we negotiated to 100Q when we stay for a week.

Report Check-In

Place is nice with a creative twist. however the focus here seems to be making money. they have also have a restaurant, carwash etc and the young managers interact little with guests. Price seems to be arbitrary we were told 150Q because we have a medium sized van (19 ft) another traveller with a bigger vehicle was quoted 300Q and turned back. music from restaurant can be heard all the
time and if you park under the tree expect fruit or whatever they are falling on your car and head. wifi is unreliable.

Report Check-In

stayed three nights and had a great time. easy walk to town, very safe and price is solid (100q/car). okay place to socialize. restaurant is a bit pricey and doesn't seem to be used by overlanders at all, bathrooms could use some more cleaning.

Report Check-In

We had a great time here. The site is in walking distance to town and offers loads of space. Shade is available close to the trees and power / water are available but not close for all spots, bring an extension or you will be limited. The only thing we didn’t appreciate was the toilets, for 100Q a night they should be cleaned more often.

Report Check-In

I wanted to correct the altitude. A really fine place to visit the wonderful City! The Restaurant is o.k.

Report Check-In

As advertised. This place is cool, strange, a bit noisy at times, great for dogs, and under somewhat constant construction. We stayed here for 2 weeks and had a great time. Easy access to the city, delicious tortillas next door, mostly clean bathrooms, mostly warm showers and plenty of sun, shade and power outlets.

Report Check-In

good campground with everything you need: water, hot showers, clean toilets, fireplace, restaurant. about 20 min. walking distance to the city center and 15 quetzales with uber from the center. recommended!

Report Check-In

As described, we stayed there for 6 nights with a 24 feet. certainly the best campsite in all of Guatemala. all services except the laundromat.

Report Check-In

Loved this place!! Warm showers, grassy, level, clean, super cute converted buses and even a helicopter in a tree! The campsite even has two resident peacocks. It can be a little noisy in the mornings, but that is normal for the city. We got lucky and they only charged us 80q for some reason. There is also a guy in the yellow school bus who does good tattoos if you’re interested!

Report Check-In

This is the spot. They are up and running — level grassy areas to park, clean bathrooms, hot showers (grounded too!), easy walk to centro, awesome street food across the street at the church, electrical hookups with extension, WiFi didn’t reach the van, but was available in the restaurant. Tons of old buses and vans they rent out as rooms, overall cool vibe with tons of other overlanders. 100Q per vehicle. Recommended.

Report Check-In

Only one camping in Antigua, nice place near oldcity, 100 per car, hot water, average internet.

Report Check-In

good alternative to turismo police. you get water, electricity, hot showers, flush toilets and dumping possibility! very nice stuff! good restaurant! cool and funny hostel- buses :-)! come and visit! very recommended!

Report Check-In

Campsite will open officially beginning of April 2019, when we were there it was partly under construction.
They have nice cabañas in old school buses or even an helicopter.
We stayed for 3 nights and paid 80 Qtz per night (2 persons in a van).
There are 2 WiFi’s, the one of the car wash did work better for us.
The center is a grassy area with space for at least 20 cars. Laundry and dish washing room was not finished but there will be one.
To the m city center it is about 10 minutes walking.
When finished this place has a lot of potential to be an overlanders paradise.

Report Check-In

We were their first guests ever. It’s still a construction site, but give them another 2-3 weeks and it will be pretty cool! Hot showers, toilets, wifi, onsite restaurant, super friendly people! It’s 100Q for two people in a car.
There will also be some rooms you can rent built in old schoolbuses or an old helicopter, it looks pretty cool!
Recommended!

Report Check-In

It's more than a scrapyard than a camping. They ask us at what time we want to come in to set the price (?). We said 3PM and they asked us 150Q for à night... No service except clean bathroom. Wouldn't feel safe to spend a night at this place. We left after a visit.
