Great and passionate man! Presentation was insightful, everyone should know about Maria Reiche! As of now, the hotel is under construction, so the entrance is on the otherside for the coming 4 months.

Good lavanderia, service for the next day, clean and folded for a cheap price. It’s located in a clothes shop (tienda de ropa) named « Illusion » so you need to enter and ask for the laundry.

we've been there last year and we know it's a really nice place, but 30$ pn for two people is too much for longtimetravellers, we found a good option in tiffanys creek for less than the half.

Several tent spots, left and right of the road, but not the best for van camping. Cars drove by frequently until late at night. Wouldn't go out of my way to camp anywhere on this road... No cell service.

We spent 2 nights in this parking lot. During the day several surfers come to enjoy the waves and at night it is super quiet. Next door there is a rental house that was empty and its watchman Marcos offered us water. Good Liberty signal, no wifi.

No pets allowed at the beach but people Bring them anyway.

Planned to spend the night here. However left at 10pm as the guy from the parking appeared like 10 times in front of our camper always asking if we will pay for our overnight stay here. He said it will cost 300 per day - so 600 to stay overnight and wanted us to leave our ticket in the office to make sure we won’t go for the “lost ticket option” for only 300 pesos the next day.

They charged 400pesos/12 hours for the parking for our 22feet campervan. Obviously too much, but the guy wouldn’t negotiate on the price and we needed a place as it was almost midnight..
Spent a safe and quiet night (after 1am) here.

We overnight on the gravel carpark area in front of campground. Peaciful and calm night. Nest morning camping guards kindly explain that we could not overnight herw as it is participar of the campingground and this year is already open because no show remain.

Famous place in the desert. We came here in the night. Nice view to watch the stars and have some pics. Quite to sleep. Can be busy with tourists or other travelers.

Looked closed, if there is no one at the gate try pushing the intercom. Was trying to find anyone for half hour and then ended up pressing the button on the intercom. Gate opened instantly 😂

Not a bad place to stay. 6 beds in the mixed room. My 2nd night here there were many mosquitos in the room, but they have mosquito nets on the way for all the beds. It was 1550kes for a bed normal price but I found it on booking for $10(1310kes). Met a lot of other backpackers here. Room for a few small rigs or bikes in the parking lot.

Great place to hang out for a few days. Large mostly level gravel lot. Some road and train noise, but worth being camped right on the water. Place was very clean (no trash laying around) 👍👍👍

Francais ci-dessous.

Ample parking with no sleeping stop ban. Very quiet with short trails nearby. Please don't set up like you're camping! Be discreet and do not take anything out of your vehicle (chairs, BBQ, shower shelter, etc.) NO FIRE!

Really a nice stop. Clean bathrooms, free showers by the main fairground buildings. Most of the hookups are on grass, a handful on gravel. Would be pretty cozy during fair but we were the only ones here for the night. Water at every other hookup.

Beautiful scenic Backwood stay no through traffic as the road dead end stayed here for two nights undisturbed didn’t see a person at all. No toilets make yourself at home with your camping stove, car essentials and make sure to test your music lyrics off of the walls of the trees.

We confirm all of the above. Can be a bit crowded, in the sense that you are in view of other campers (7 or 8 today), but since the site is like a large area of approx. 100 m diameter, everybody enjoys semi-privacy.

Wonderful place. Hilario and Ryan were very welcoming and accommodating. As stated in other reviews this place is very well set up. Cold and hot showers, clean bathrooms, lots of big tables decks and palapas, overlooking the river which was perfect for cooling off, bbq grills, sports fields, wifi, and nice grass for parking your rig. Very new facilities. We got a couple meals from the restaurant which is mainly open on the weekends but the food was great. Did a private cave tubing tour with Hilario who was knowledgeable and has been doing the cave tours for almost 20 years. We had a private tour at 8am and had the cave to ourselves. $65 for the tour pp and $25 pp to stay. Would highly recommended!! Incredibly gracious hosts. Ryan also has other tours bookable through tourbelizeadventure.com

Nice waterfall with a beautiful trail that’s not difficult but a bit tedious with fallen trees over the trail. First go by car/moto/walk from Balbina across the airfield. Take the access road that leads near a “pista de motocross”. The actual forest walking trail there takes 45-60 minutes. Waterfall is like a double waterfall with water coming from inside and top of a rock. Possible to bathe on top.
Can be done without guide even though locals recommend it. I’ll mark the start of the trail too.
