Mexico
They are constructing a mall here right now, so half of the parking lot is filled with construction material, leaving little space for overnight parking. Trucks and work noise till late in the evening and starting early morning. In between quiet and dark.

Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
They installed pay gates where you have to take a ticket, then pay for time in lot. 250 pesos to overnight
Report Check-InSlept here 3 nights without problems, we entered in the last entrance of the parking, there is more space to enter with a small van.
Not for big rigs, you couldn’t enter with the high restriction.
2.9m height and 2.3m width no problem on the last entrance.

Report Check-InThey told us to leave the parkinglot as they are building a height restriction to keep campers out. We slept the night in the small street right next to it
Report Check-InWe stayed here for two nights. Very quiet and safe in the evening. The construction site no longer exists.
Report Check-InFine place to stay for a night or two. There was no construction but it was pretty busy until around 10pm.
Report Check-InHuge construction site, so loud in the evening and also early in the morning, lots of trucks. In between quiet.
Report Check-InWe spent 2 nights here. Very quiet to sleep at night. The last day a personnel from Chedraui approached us and told us that it’s ok to park overnight but during the day you are allowed to park only for 3 hours.
Report Check-InGood place for a night, meeting point for long term travelers and handcrafted artists. Some noise at night. Police patrols pass by often at night. Plenty of fancy products in Chedraui.
Report Check-InStayed some nights here. Always silent at night. To bad there is not so much wind as on the beach spots. So more mosquitos. There always some overlander here is you want to chat or hang out
Report Check-InSafe, quiet and many places to park.
Shaded parking, bathrooms and shopping in Chedraui.
Great for a parking lot.
Good place to spend the night. Bathrooms and Wi-Fi inside the Cedraui, free. We were parked all day and night without problems, in high season is when you should leave the parking lot while the supermarket is open.
Report Check-Inquiet night... place was fully of other travelers... like 12 spend the night with us... great spot to sleep safe...
Report Check-InSafe place to sleep. Quite night and a nice temperature this time of year. Police patrol the lot every so often.
Report Check-InSpent one night here and it’s not that nice. It’s only free parking with zero facilities at night time. It’s very hot because there’s no wind there.
Report Check-InSúper quite spot, stayed 1 night parked in the back right side so you get some shade from the trees in the morning
Report Check-Inparking lot of Chedraui grocery store. Looks like
most people park on the east side. Saw one RV there multiple days. Not much shade. Parking lot is right along the road to the beach, in Tulum Pueblo.
Spend 4 nights here. Really safe and quiet. 2-3 other vans were sleeping there too.
Due to the bad behavior of some travelers (throw garbage, live a month here, drain their sewage, wash and dry their clothes hanging under the parking lots.) It is no longer allowed to leave the motorhome here, it is still allowed to spend the night, during the day You have to leave the place.
Report Check-InBest free and safe spot to park your RV in Tulum. Ruins accessible by foot or bile (approx 3 km). 6 other Overlanders here.
Report Check-In- safe - quite - free
I would say the best place to stay with big rig in Tulum
Brilliant place, literally an Overlander meet up point! 6 other vehicles when we stayed there. Police always roaming through so felt really safe
Report Check-InBest supermarket camping we had so far. Good wifi, safe and quiet during the night. Toilets are under construction at the moment and not usable!
We spent 4 nights super quiet, the space is huge.
Report Check-InParked here in our Subaru Legacy several nights. Super quiet after the store closes. Lots of other overlanders - spotted at least 3 on average every night.
Police patrol every so often (the office is right down the street). It is more likely something could happen during busy store hours - a family had all of their luggage stolen from the trunk of their rental car in broad daylight.
As said before - free bathrooms and wifi inside Chedraui. Chedraui cafe is hidden by the right hand entrance.
Report Check-InAs already said here, you'll see other fellow overlanders here :)
Safe and quite cool at night, there are some shady spots on the side.
Wifi inside the Chedraui :)
Great spot! Was super skeptical but when we arrived and saw all the overlanders around I felt it was the best spot. We've been here 4 nights now using this as our base and have also left the car here for a whole day once, perfectly safe. Please don't leave your rubbish around its so sad to see trash all along the right hand side strip!! Also great supermarket
Nice, free and safe place to stay. I didn't expect that, but this is the spot where I've seen the most overlanders in one place since leaving the US - counted 13 vehicles :)
Report Check-Insaw 5 overlanding vehicles when we showed up to shop. They also have 4 different bank's ATMs located inside. including HSBC.
Report Check-InThe place to stay while in Tulúm. Many overlanders around. Police is OK with people overnighting there. We spent several nights and always felt safe.
Report Check-Inat least you want to be alone, this is the place to spend the night in Tulum. Free WiFi. Bathrooms. Great supermarket. Full of overlanders
Report Check-InWe camped with 2 rooftoptents on the parkinglot. We felt very safe and met some other overlanders.
Report Check-InSafe and quiet place for free. A lot of tourists in this town. our RV (3m high) fits under the parking desk for shadow.
Report Check-Inpretty cool place for a supermarket parking lot! surrounded by nature from 3 sides.. ;) we met plenty of other overlanders when we were there. toilets available 7am to 10 pm. very nice and quiet at night.
also in walking distance to the ruins (about 25 min) - so you can save 120 pesos parking fee if you want ;)
good place for one night, lots of space, shade, calm at night - recommended!
Report Check-InWe slept here for one night in our minivan without any problems. Very calm once that the store is closed.
Report Check-InWe spent a total of 4 nights. It was always super quiet! From about 22 o'clock everything was closed and later switched off some lights, although it remains always bright. We stayed 2 nights in the side road from the delivery service where one is a little more secluded rear, 2 nights on the front of the car park under the umbrella because it was raining. It has never told someone what, it was very good. WC can be from Chedraui when open use.
