Amazing to take a private outdoor shower. I was charging my phone at the pavilion right by it but these apparently are rented out so I got politely booted by the party group. Great area though with beach access across the street.

Couldn’t enter - entrance is trough underpass and with pickup and canopy (2.2m height) definitely not passable.

noisy gravel pulloff beside the 401 and a hiking trail into the marsh. no amenities. just flat gravel. large enough for several big rigs. no signage whatsoever.

Safe place by the road. We weren’t really bothered by the traffic and the trucks stop getting in the parking at a decent hour.

Good food and good conversation with the nice family. We also had access to services like bathrooms, showers and water.

The owner is planning to build a touristic complex with cabins down below. That would give access to a more isolated parking below.

Nice view !!

Excellent camping, it has everything you need. A bit expensive, the payment is made through a link on the internet. Wai Pai is excellent throughout the camping area.

Gravel parking nearby the Park. Quiet and with the possibility of playing sports and walking along the Yellowstone River. Near the cute little town. The Toile is closed.

Huge parking lot on the beach, we didn't sleep here, we just stopped for a break. But suitable for overnight parking also for large vehicles. We are out of season, there are no additional vehicles. Can be busy in season. Good Entel signal.

More exposed and maybe more spectacular spot than the lower ones. Easy access, good 4G with T-Mobile.

Such a sweet little park. A hidden gem for sure. There’s a self serve pay area and you just find a spot and pay. There were only 2 other campers here. Restrooms with showers and a nice walking area. Everything is so very green. Good play areas for the dog too. Quiet and we slept so good, perfect temps and an evening rain helped with that!

We will certainly remember this spot for future travels and recommendations.

Cell service at one bar mostly.

Big coin operated laundry, with an attendant. Some parking off to the side with a fair amount of room to maneuver bigger rigs. Park near the gas station if you’ve got a trailer. Machines are front loaders of various sizes. $5 for a “maxi load.” There’s a ton of dryers, all along two walls. 10 mins for a quarter. Clean place. Signs up saying “no pet bedding or dog blankets.” Last load, 9pm.
Hot, fresh tamales, too, while I was there on a Saturday morning. A very tasty treat! $2 each.

They no longer have a dump station. They told us there is a free dump station at the Lakeport Yacht Club

Awesome spot! A huge Live Oak provides lasting shade, and a gentle breeze takes the few bugs away. Sandhill Cranes breed there, and along the sandy roads, there are tons of little bear tracks. No amenities, good cell service.

All normal size SUVs should fit in here even with roof racks.

120Bs/night for 2 people with private bathroom. 80 for a single person.

Best part is free parking in the hotel’s own courtyard. This is the only place I could find like this.

Super hot showers and pet friendly

Perfect place to stay when visiting Merida!
Lovely people, very quite, close to the center and lots of shade where you can park your RV.

Stayed here for two nights. It’s close to the ruins - so a good option if you are planning to visit the ruins in the next early morning.
Yes the bathroom is not in the best shape and needs renovation - but well… better a not fancy shower than no shower ;)
The family who runs the place was very friendly to us.
Paid 50 pesos/person.

One of the best spots in Mexico!
The waterfalls are so beautiful and the camp spot is chilled. Not many people around.

We were three persons and paid 300 pesos the first night, 250 second night and 150 the third night :D
I have no clue about the price structure, but can tell it was definitely worth it ;)
The restaurant is also nice.

We rode this route on two motorcycles - it's very doable on adventure bikes, but just wanted to add to the previous comment - I really don't think it's suitable for 'any' car. some of the sections are steep and there are big rocks.... perhaps you could, but I personally wouldn't!
just wanted to add that in case you're in a car and weighing it up.

cheers
