Description

Awesome youth hostal a few blocs away from historical center. They have rooms and dormitories but also a nice closed garden for tents and small rigs. My 25" is the longest that would fit. Any vehicle under this size would be fine. No hook-ups, but nice hammocks by a small pool, shared kitchen and bathrooms and super warm and welcoming. All of this for 100 pesos/pers/night (regardless of the size of your rig). Great deal to visit Merida. Highly recommended :)

Best place to stay in Merida.
They have a hot indoor shower now for campers, the best we had for a long time!
Reasonable price and breakfast is included.
Pool/ Chillout area and good Wifi.
Price: 125p.P

We parked here for 1 week during Hanal Pixan. It’s a great spot to stay while exploring Merida.

There’s a large flat shaded grassy area to park.

125pesos per person, 50pesos for electricity. Dog friendly!

Can use all the facilities of the hostel (Kitchen, bathrooms, outdoor pool, outdoor shower, indoor communal area). They also have free breakfast every morning - coffee, yogurt, fruit, juice, toast, fruit loops and Frosted Flakes. Super friendly staff :)

Only downside was there are no private showers for campers - we could only use the outdoor pool shower.

There are also city bikes at the nearby square which you can use to bike downtown. They were free when we visited.

Still possible to camp here with a rig. Same prices. You can use toilets, kitchen and little pool but no showers.

Report Check-In

We were not allowed to stay there. Parking only for guests!

Report Check-In

Stayed here for a couple of nights. 125p per person. It was lovely and there was an outside shower but I heard from other people that the boss wasn’t happy with some situation regarding the campers and decided to close this hostel for campers and only let people there who want to stay in rooms.
So if you plan on staying here make sure to have a plan B in case they deny you.
But as Merida is pretty safe you can park on the street definitely.

Small camping area in the backyard of this cosy youth hostel.
Nicely located a few blocks away from the city center ; also, you can rent bikes which makes visit to the center even easier. Price is 125 MXN p.p. ( kids under 5 don’t pay) , breakfast included ( basic but still nice) for dry camping ; additional 50MXN per night if you want power. ( no dump possible )
Nice little swimming pool which is a indispensable to cool down as Merida is so hot right now.
Biggest concern for us; the bugs! We never had to deal with so many mosquitos so far in all Mexico.. days and nights… even with our mosquitos nets! this made our stay quite harsh…

Price have increased, now it's 125pesos per person, because of the breakfast included! If you came with a van, you pay this amout, but, you can't use toilets, shower and kitchen! You are paying just to stay in a garden at the end! Our friend had a tent, and she pays the same amout, but she can use toilets and shower!
For us with a vehicle, it's really paying for nothing! We won't come here, and yes, it is full of mosquitos!
Breakfast it's very simple coffe, toasted bread, fruits cereals, yogurt, starts from 8.30 and finish at 10.30

Report Check-In

It's not for big rigs. We are 3.5m high, 2.2m wide, 6.20m long but he didn't let us in.

Report Check-In

as described, nice garden to park your vehicle, small pool to cool down, many mosquitoes make sure to bring a mosquito net in your van or a tent otherwise it would be impossible to sleep.
good strong coffee in the morning.
100 pesos pp.

We honestly can’t think of a better place to park while visiting Merida. Safe parking inside the hostel compound. Great WiFi inside the hostal, small swimming pool, and friend out staff.

The La Emerita neighborhood is also the oldest neighborhood in the city and very pleasant to walk around at night. Great night food nearby.

Report Check-In

As described- still 100Pesos p.p incl.breakfast; we stayed 4 nights in our little pickup camper and felt safe; good walking distance into town; during our stay the shower doesn't work very well- no hot and very poor water at all; staff was very friendly; lots of little biting bugs and mosquitoes!

Report Check-In

Still $100p/pp to camp in the garden. Our dog was allowed "in the garden area only", but hung out by the pool with us and the staff and others didn't complain. The pool was a nice thing to have, still hot and a few mosquitoes when we visited. Breakfast still included, with the use of the bathrooms and shower. Nice place.

We stayed there this week - very helpful staff and as described by others pretty much but, at least in mid October there were no mosquitos at all ( we were expecting lots ) which was nice. Also, there is a power outlet on the rear wall that we were able to use ( but needed a long extension cord ). Good value for 100pesos each !

Report Check-In

Decent campground with average facilities. Fast wifi and some desks that can be used for working. Paid 125 mxn pp incl breakfast

Report Check-In

What a wonderful place. We could park our Van (with rooftop-tents) in the beautyful garden and could use the facilities (kitchen, pool, bathrooms) and had breakfast for a really fair price. Wonderful people there. All infrastructure arround. We stayed for one week.

Report Check-In

As described before. No problem entering with our 22“ motorhome. You are allowed to bring your dog if well behaved and quiet.

Report Check-In

As written earlier, awesome spot with prime location and even breakfast included :)
BUT: In our 6months of traveling we haven't had such a mosquito Invasion yet - they were literely eating us!! Maybe only at this time of the year but we would not stay there again only because of this reason!

Report Check-In

Excellent place, very friendly and great facilities. Best location we found near to Mérida centre. No height barrier. Bit narrow access, but we are 2.2m wide and had no problem. Only the very biggest rigs might have a problem. 100pesos per person per night including breakfast. Only downside is that it's a bit buggy in the camping/garden area. Take good repellent.

nice place... Good parking for my motorbike. Friendly and clean. Recommended... ;-)

Report Check-In

Very good place for camping in Merida with only one negative thing: mosquitos. Not many in the building but lots of them in the camping area.
We stayed three days.

Report Check-In

Nice place! Lot of bugs. 100mex pp.

Excelente lugar. Gran patio para motorhome o carpas. Hay Baños, ducha y cocina.
Además se pueden usar la mesa de Pool, piscina, wifi.
Está algo lejos del centro pero hay bus cerca. Además la ciudad no es complicada en el tránsito.
Cuidado!!! Muchos mosquitos en todos lados!!!
Costo 100 mx por persona

Report Check-In

As advertised. 200 pesos for 2 persons and the dog. 22’9” rv. No height restriction. Walking distance to downtown. Great place.

Report Check-In

Spent a week parked at this hostel, sleeping in our van. Not really much in the neighborhood in terms of restaurants or sites but as previously said, Uber to main square is cheap. Breakfast is decent, bathroom kept reasonably clean, friendly staff and cats.

Report Check-In

Such a nice place, one of the best vibes in this trip. Owners and staff do their best to make you feel at home. The coffee the sell is awesome. Small patio so perhaps you want to call in advance!

Report Check-In

We are usually avoiding hostels if we can, but this one was nice - big grassy leveled parking, small pool, workable wifi (good enough for skype call), nice clean bathroom with hot shower and above average breakfast. For 100pp, quite a good deal.
Lots of things going on in the city, check with the reception or guidebook. We went to see serenata (traditional music and some folklore dance) - they've been going on every Thursday for the past 50+- years. Very nice experience, and for free. More events like this are every week, from Thursday to Monday.
Top tip - if you tired of walking, uber ride to/from town is only about 25-35 pesos.

Report Check-In

As previous comment. Same price for a RV 22 ft with breakfast. Wifi available. Very nice and quiet place.

Awesome place to park your rig in Mérida for a good price; 100 pesos per person for the night with hot showers, good wifi, pool (small), continental breakfast! Normally I hate cities but this makes them bearable.
