a beautiful rest area with restrooms, picnic tables, trash receptacles, and smoking areas. also a ton of brochures, maps, and info about Kentucky attractions.
as stated, signs say max stay 4 hours - which is statewide. all rest stops in Kentucky have a 4 hrs. limit.
however, a nice lady who worked there told me to park my van where the trucks park and I could stay the night. many others stayed the night in both the car and truck parking areas.

Good rest stop, you can park for 8 hrs. Clean restrooms, picnic tables, water (can not put hose on), free dump station.

Beau camping, tranquille. végétation entre chaque terrain de rv ce qui assure intimité. sanitaires propres, plusieurs douches et toilettes, eau chaude. Sentiers du parc Fort agréables à faire. on y voit plusieurs lièvres et tortues.

I thought I was going to the bike trailhead but ended up in the parking lot for the multi-use trail, which closes at night. Neither this lot nor the bike trailhead is for campers in cars or camping vehicles. The Akron police officer was very kind in explaining this to me but was frustrated at the increase in folks thinking that RV camping is allowed.

We spent a night here after crossing the border. They allowed us to spend the night but security charged us 5 USD a night. We wanted to negotiate, but we were unsuccessful! It was already late so we decided to stay! Bathrooms are available. Security 24/7. Safe and quite noisy!

One of very few gas stations on highway 9. Great selection of snacks and drinks. Also has a decent grocery selection of meat, cheese, pantry, and beer!! Don’t let the facade scare you away.

Free with Discover Pass! Small campground made for people looking to use the miles of motorbike trails, but open to normal recreational use too. Pit toilets, first come, first serve basis. Maybe three sites taken here in April. Seems relatively un-monitored so I think a van could possibly park overnight in one of the few pull-offs within the campground, I’d definitely avoid parking in any of the lots along the way as they are pretty strictly dawn to dusk use. I took a normal camping spot and it had a picnic table and a small fire-pit with a griddle on top.
I would warn that if can get a little noisy with the motorbikes rolling by or driving in the distance. It’s also not the prettiest campground, but it’s WAY better than its neighbor, Kammenga Canyon Campground about a half mile away, which is tiny with spots that has zero privacy.

Pretty area with only a few other people camped tonight. road noise if you camp near the beginning but the road goes on for a long time. Slow 1-2 bars verizon close to the road, the further back you go the less signal.

We sleep behind the bmx. We could hear the generator and the music when there were people in it, but they left at nightfall. We had to take a road a little damaged by rain, but no problem going carefuly with a 2wd medium clearance car. Less busy than the places closer to the road. A firepit where we stopped. Very flat, so no real cover if you need to pee outside. Beautiful surroundings and quiet at night.

Great mechanic team. honest, efficient and fairly priced. Our van differential broke, after visiting 3 mechanics in the area this guy's were the only ones to diagnosed correctly. they did the work in less time than expected and gave us a year warranty on the work. we will revomendem 100%

Great water pressure, super clean, comes with towel and washcloth. Soap is also provided. Unlimited shower time. Well worth $10

Incredible camping spot! As described in other posts but WAY more beautiful. No service and lot isn’t perfectly level but workable. Definitely walk the trail - it’s breathtaking! The road is above you so you get some car noise but it’s mixed in with the white noise of the crashing waves. I slept so well! This is a best kept secret!

Recommended as stop over, we used it coming from Lesotho on our way to Botswana.

You have to chat to the ticket office but they will let you camp. They might try to charge for two days but argue you only get one sunrise and you only have to pay one. Currently that is 50k IDR. They can also store your cycle if you don't fancy taking it up the steps.

Old fashioned, huge hot springs. The water is warmer in the center. Large lake with shady grass all around or terrasses in the buildings. Fee 4000 HUF pp/3h for seniors, a bit more for others. Parking and camping across the road (300 HUF/h, cash only)

A melhor parada que já tivemos. O local possui toda estrutura para motorhomes. Ponto de água, energia, banheiro e até ducha.
A esquerda possui um restaurante com banheiro e ducha quente grátis. No posto de gasolina também possui banho mas tem que abastecer.
Passamos 3 dias no local devido a problemas e não tivemos problemas.

Absolutely wonderful place with super friendly owner! Luxury tents with private pool and WiFi are available, but had been fully booked at the time of our request. For our needs the, as Markus called it, “old” campsite was absolutely perfect. Quiet, private shower and toilet, hot water, additional outdoor shower and a fireplace under a huge tree.
Be careful: You might want to stay much longer than you intentionally planed.
Give Markus a call before you go there, to ask for availability.

Excellent campsite with all facilities and about a twenty-minute bus ride to the centre (leaves right outside the campsite). You can also cycle into the city, but there are a few meters of altitude to overcome. Has a little bar on site. Very nice people running it. Would highly recommend it.

Enough room for one camper van comfortably. Cell service, yes. Ocean side rocky view, yes. Quiet sleep, yes.

Poor internet connection

Go to customs, have your vehicle papers checked (for traffic fines?). The officer will eventually open the gate. Drive in the yard and stop. Go to immigration for your exit stamp, then go to customs again to finalize exporting your vehicle. Go outside and wait your turn to drive the vehicle on the ferry. I arrived just after 6 pm, whole process was very relaxed and took about one hour. I don't think you can speed it up if you arrive earlier than the ticket agency tells you. They seem to open the gate for all private vehicles only once.

not accessible with a 2wd. the last section of the road down to the river is way too bumpy and dusty with slippery rocks. we didnt go down because we would be able to drive back up most likely. as this was the second place we tried after the picnic area we just parked on the side of the dirt road before going down to the river and slept there.
