UPDATE: some guard appear around 6.30pm, and told me that to use the campground, you first have to pass and announce your visit in the Ayuntamiento of Calp. there is a fare, 3 euros for person and 3 for the tent. anyway, its very cheap and its a very nice place. only thing its that the way up its step in some parts

Lovely campsites, relatively private and shaded with power outlet.
More than adequate ablutions, well worth a visit.

you can go all the way down and camp in Peace directly in front of the Beach/Sea. There's a hous nearby, but it seems like a Holiday Residence and there was Nobody :10 April 2024.

The place mentioned by tomca60 (the last before us) is even with a four-wheel drive Jeep a hard job. The last 500 feet of the road is washed out. We slide away in the soft sand into the wash-out with the right wheels. And got almost stuck. The same way back wasn't possible, so I had to drive through the bush a 50 yard. We stay overnight now on a little pull-out just on the way back. So, be careful. The road up with rain I can not recommend. (We came from North to South via La Contenta Rd)

6 places but 2 or 3 over but i suppose you have to pay $14 or $7. We are overflow, we pay people told us it ok.

$35 full hookups for seniors (over 62). Includes entrance to the ghost town. Showers are $1 (in quarters) for 6 minutes ☹️

The lady that runs it, is working in the shop (pharmacy?) next to the restaurant with the red doors on the main road. The shop is called Botica with a red sign, the lady is called Lourdes.

Price is 25 soles. There are 2 rooms, simple but probably recently built. There is a common area where I could put my bicycle and dry out my wet stuff.

No shower, no wifi, no phone service. The pit toilet is dirty, but there is no running water at all in the village.

I was glad that I could stay here and warm up and not have to camp.

The lake was almost dry, but there was a very beautiful sunset on the mountains. We spent the night here, it was calm, there were a lot of horses walking around.

Beautiful spot. Right across from the beach. Traffic can get bad, only 2 lanes. Otherwise it’s perfect!

Like was posted before. Very quiet, good cell service, and VERY private. Managed to slowly work my way back in a fully loaded down Honda CRV with all terrains, low gear, and stock suspension. AWD or 4x4 is a must. Go slow and find good drive lines and you’ll be handsomely rewarded.

lots of birds, clean 24-7 restrooms. very crowded but quiet, except for the birds.

Awesome place! Dump..rince water..potable water..garbage cans...+ the store with everything you need!

It’s good. Big space, a couple of us here, clear open skies. A little road noise, but very limited at night.

Really nice place with super nice people! There is some trails where you can bring your dog and they have single bathrooms!
