Very quiet if you don’t have a neighbor idling his pickup truck for hours. Noisy flock of blackbirds (grackles maybe?) go silent just after sundown. Exterior entry to bathrooms open 24 hours. Good WiFi for Mint. Clean, well lit, many others stayed the night; felt very safe.

Report Check-In

great spot. Another beautiful Texas welcome center! Quiet, great restrooms, nice picnic areas and room for the doggies.

Report Check-In

Super clean bathrooms 24 hours. Nice employees. Quiet at night. Great place.

Report Check-In

Nice quiet night’s sleep. Very helpful staff in the info centre

Report Check-In

Just as described. We came on Thanksgiving Day and the center was closed but it was a perfect place to stop right off the highway. The center was open the next day (on Friday).

Report Check-In

As stated by others, great place for the night. If you arrive late the WiFi password is besides the entrance to the info center.

Report Check-In

Pulled up and there were others camped out in the lot and it feels very safe. There's a Buffalo wild wings across the highway this serves food till 1 am. Well lit but not overly lit so you can still sleep.

Report Check-In

We’ve stopped a few weeks ago to eat/let our dog out and stopped today to spend the night. This place is wonderful all around — super clean, safe, well lit, big grassy areas with picnic shelters, a handful of amenities (water bottle fill up, vending machines, wifi) and very friendly and knowledgeable staff if you pop into the info center. It’s right off the highway and there’s a train nearby, but overall we did not find the noise to be a problem. Looking forward to stopping here again on our next road trip.

Report Check-In

Came in very late.. bathrooms were super clean. Tons of rv’s and vans. Felt very safe. Didn’t even hear everyone leave in the am.

Report Check-In

Plenty of parking here for small rigs, and pull throughs for larger ones. South side small spaces look pretty unlevel, whereas we fit our 25' rig on the north side and it wasn't too bad. Lots of grass for the dog.

Report Check-In

Other positive reviews are true. 24-hour super clean bathrooms. Only 1 Pepsi vending machine (looks like 2 others were removed).
Exterior water fountains under repair.
Lots of parking. Semi-trucks in separate lot from RV’s (me) and cars.
Lots of nice area to walk around. Several ramadas with tables.
Barely could hear freeway traffic (as in almost not at all).
Inside staff were super friendly and helpful. They have hundreds of different pamphlets on all of Texas.
This place is a gem.

Report Check-In

as described by previous visitors. it was quiet despite being near the I 40.

Report Check-In

The bathrooms were so clean and immaculate I could have eaten off the toilet seat. In the morning I went to tell the desk staff to please pass on the feedback to the maintenance crew! Using the wifi in the morning was also very nice. A fabulous travel center, kudos to the TX DOT!

Report Check-In

Surprisingly quiet and spotless bathrooms.

Report Check-In

The visitor center is on the eastbound side of the highway and even though we were heading westbound it was convenient to navigate to using the GPS coordinates.
There are dedicated areas for trucks and cars/RV’s. There are several large pull thru spots that would probably fit and size rig plus parking along the edges. We were there on a Friday night and there were about half a dozen others staying overnight. We would definitely stay here again.

Report Check-In

Wonderful stop just before Amarillo heading west on a cross-country trip. Right by the highway, easy access , super clean restrooms open 24/7 with lots of overnight parking. A few other RVs parked for the night and the HWY40 noise is pretty soft, specially if you park right behind the building. Trucks park further away so running engines are not a bother . Great safe overnight stop.

Report Check-In

Great spot to stay for the night, plenty of parking and very quiet. The big rigs park in another area away from the RVs and car camper. Nice clean restrooms. I’ll say this was one of the best over night spots I’ve been to. Thanks Texas.

Report Check-In

Nice for one night! Lots of vehicles of all kinds but was surprisingly quiet! We arrived late and we left late around 9:30.

We had to dump our gray tank anyway so we didn’t bother using their bathrooms! 🤨

Saw staff maintaining the grounds, picking up trash in the morning before we left.

Report Check-In

Nice place to stay overnight. Toilets accessible during night. Lot of space.

Report Check-In

Safe. Lots of other campers, RVs and Trucks. Clean bathrooms. Wifi and phone service are good. Travel Texas Info. Good over night spot. Close to RT 40.

Report Check-In

Excellent place to stay overnight. RV’s and car separate from 18 wheelers.

Large parking lots and very clean bathrooms

Report Check-In

Great spot for overnight. Quiet and the cleanest bathroom around.

Report Check-In

Super nice place to stop while passing through Amarillo. 24 hr bathrooms and felt super safe all night

Report Check-In

Stayed her a couple nights recently and both times were good experiences. Pretty quiet, its basically just a big parking lot off the highway. Clean restrooms open 24/7. Looks like water fountains outside were closed for winter weather. There were some inside but the building is open 8-5. Spots for bigger RVs and truckers as well as a lot for vans and cars.

There were picnic tables and area for dogs to do their thing.

Report Check-In

rv spot was calm and spent the night here with my 30' skoolie with toad.

Report Check-In

Stayed here for two nights. Recently quiet. Clean bathrooms & friendly staff. Only downfall is there are little burrs in some of the grassy areas (not even in a bush, just loose throughout the ground) so be mindful if you have pups!

Report Check-In

Travel center parking lot with bathrooms open 24hr.

Report Check-In

Stayed in the parking lot over night. Nice quiet spot with very clean bathrooms. Note: The vending machine (Pepsi) and drinking fountain were closed.

Report Check-In

Report Check-In

Quiet, small area with clean bathrooms and beautiful sunset. Recommend.

Report Check-In

Stayed here for the night. Arrived around 10 pm in our camper van and other people were already here for the night. Great, safe, spot. Would come here again. The building is closed at night but the bathroom and vending machines are 24 hours. Bathroom are also super clean

Report Check-In

Very clean. Lots of other overnighters, so it feels very safe. The Wi-Fi works in the building but won’t reach more than a few feet away from there. Great spot!

Report Check-In

Very clean, well lit and quiet place. Plenty of other campers

Report Check-In

Nice and clean facility. Free wifi with password outside of 24hr restrooms (must be close to building to use). Ample parking for cars, trucks, and RVs. Well-lit with lamps overnight, might want to bring blackout window covers. Next to the highway, so expect traffic noise. Full service and LTE with Cricket.

Report Check-In

Great clean spot as described. Free wifi code is posted on the doors to 24 hr bathrooms

Report Check-In

Easy in and out
Truckers are in the back and campers on main parking lot

Report Check-In

Great spot! About 30 minutes away from Palo Duro Canyon State Park. Very well lit, bathrooms are 24-hour and very clean, and there’s plenty of room to walk your dog. Pretty quiet despite being right off I-40 and felt very safe!

Report Check-In

bathrooms are super clean, wifi worked inside the building, right off the highway but not too noisy

Report Check-In

This is a great spot. Well lit and safe, restrooms are close by. We pulled in really late at night and when we reached most of the spots were taken and we ended up being close to a loud rv, so better come early

Report Check-In

overnight stay for one night . wifi available. lots of Rvs and cars parked overnight.

Report Check-In

Great spot for overnight. don't make the same mistake we did; we're used to parking where semis park, so we went that way...even though the sign directed RVs to go with the cars. cars an rvs park in the same lot, the other lot is for big trucks. some road noise from I-40, but not a bother...you want dead silence? go to blm land or forest service land. main building is open 8am-6pm. clean bathrooms and water bottle fill Station inside. free wifi inside the building, maybe reaching to sidewalk outside, but not the parking lot. after hours there are bathrooms around the left side of the building with outside access.

Report Check-In

excellent spot. felt safe and the dog had a great time exploring. restrooms are currently closed due to loss of water and (busted pipes) after the recent snow storm, so we did not use facilities.

Report Check-In

We stayed here last night. Nice overnight spot - far enough off the main road that traffic noise isn't an issue. Nice, clean setting - trees, picnic areas, and a walkway where we were able to stretch our legs.

Recommend you park in the RV area. We parked in the truck area & a truck pulled in next to us with less than 5 feet clearance of our pullout. Much quieter and less crowded in the RV parking area.

Report Check-In

Sat Nov 14th ... stopped and stayed overnight and it was perfect. 10 out of 10 for us. 2 people 2 dogs that sleep in a 4Runner with covered windows. Really all we needed... bathrooms, space, room to walk mutts.... all the other vehicles were super quiet and chill. There was 3 vehicles at 8p when we arrived and 22 vehicles at 6a when we left and there was so much avail parking it was amazing. HECK YES will stay here again!!!!

Report Check-In

The information center employees are very friendly. Clean facilities with nice restrooms available 24 hours.

A plus is the semi trucks are separated from the RVs, so no constantly running diesel engines.

No wi-fi this day...

Report Check-In

Legit nice and safe place to stay. I'm in a Jeep WJ with a bike rack sleeping in car on route to Yosemite. Awesome stealth overnight spot!

Report Check-In

Rest stop with overnight parking. Seemed pretty safe.

Report Check-In

This was our first time staying overnight in a non established campground. Very clean bathrooms open 24 hours. There were 8 other travelers staying overnight when we were there. Good lighting. Next to the highway. I would recommend it.

Report Check-In

Super clean (and warm) restrooms, well lit, would definitely stay here again. Slight highway noise, but it’s along the highway so to be expected.

Report Check-In

It was a super windy drive, so we pulled off early and we're happy to arrive. The parking lot was half full of other RVs. The welcome cent was awesome clean washrooms, a water bottle fill up station and wifi. A few gas stations and restaurants at the corner too.

Report Check-In
