If southbound, take the first left after crossing the bridge and keep going. If cycling you can camp on the gravel beach, provided the water level is not too high. Camping on the beach has the advantage of being out of sight of the village. The beach is used as a starting point for boat tours, but the people I saw in the morning did not mind me camping there.

Easy to maneuver, large spots, no trucks area. Excellent place to wait out a wind storm and to get some rest.

Stayed here one night. Still free after 8pm and before 10am. Paid for three hours in the morning to explore the area on my scooter.

Best mechanic in South America we met so far. Galo helped us a lot, and he and his wife are so lovely. We stayed there for three days and got fixed, especially our clutch, which was completely destroyed. Our car is really old. We had a really good time there.

Great bakery, seems to be open until 8pm. Out door seating. No dog allowed inside. Easy walk from the beach.

$0.25 per gallon. Easy access right at the storefront.

Run by a very friendly German / Belizian couple who are very helpful and engaged!

Pretty big and safe site, so plenty of space for big riggs or having privacy.
Around 10 rooms for to rent as well.
Clean showers and a small cute outdoor kitchen with fridge.
Small community area where I met open minded and interesting travellers.
WiFi all over the whole place.
The centre and the river is within 5-minutes-walking distance. Therefor sometimes a little noisy (chosse a spot to the end of the site).

I stopped there twice and felt very at home.
I highly recommend!

5 Gallons for $0.50. has a hose to passive fill tank. not at clean looking as the aqua 2000 units, but half the price. Located in a large gravel lot on the northwest corner of intersection.

We definitely can not recommend José Carlos and his work. He sold us a rebuild engine and installed it. We did not even get 5000 km! It turned out that the engine was in a very bad condition, not installed properly and we had to replace it again due to overheating problems. We confronted José Carlos but he did not feel responsible. He gave us a professional impression at first but we never received an invoice. We suspect he is acting as a private person and not as a company. There are certainly better, more honest and professional and cheaper mechanics in Costa Rica.

Cathy and her husband are incredibles, very welcoming. The camping is brand new. Private abulations are clean and well done. The view on the river was a plus.

Nice campsite with trees for shade. We only used the shower, we have our own toilet. Little shop for water and bread. Quiet no music allowed.
Watertap is next to the administration.
We stayed 4 nights but the only thing was the fires next to the campsites. The smoke make you feel sick. We payed 3000 a night 2 people with a small motorhome.

Parking along the side of the double tree hotel, or the parking on either side of the parking garage is okay to park overnight.

Have parked multiple days on end with no issues.
Have also seen vans, rvs, etc park for longer periods.

Usual large super Walmart. I got permission to stay overnight in my RV at the costumer service desk. Many other businesses around.

good unpaved road with lots of stoping bays along the way and not much traffic... there is a spot for every car or tent setup

Please do not use the service of the "English teacher". You can manage everything on your own(even when you’re not an experienced traveler). Now that we are in Iran for the second time, we realise how much he ripped us off!!!! Download a translation app and ask around town.

We were already relatively uncomfortable the first time we used his service. Now it just confirmed how much he ripped us off.

Be well prepared with offline apps for navigation and translation. Also at least 2 VPN.

The place to sleep was great!

Ficamos três noites. Praça linda. Local seguro e próximo a mercados, restaurantes e comércios. Tivemos que pagar, porém ficou bem barato.

Really bad roads to get here. unless you are ready for some serious teeth rattling, not worth the effort. There are much easier places just as nice.

Nice and quite shaded sites on well maintained grass. Each site has picnic tables and fire rings. No running water.
The host is very kind and knowledgeable about the nearby hiking trails and alligator drive loop.

I wasn't able to find this place.
