Great place with very friendly hosts. Large area to camp on grass. There are hammock, showers and a kitchen. 10 minutes walking to city center with nice gifts shops.
20Bz per person per night.
Not allowed to refill water tank.

Report Check-In

Great location for checking out San Ignacio and also the best spot we found for seeing toucans!

- Getting there: The entrance is a little bit to the north of the French bakery, there are signs showing it.

- Price: We paid $20 Belize pp.

- Showers: There is an electric heater on the shower head in the women's bathroom; the men's bathroom has cold water.

- Bathroom: Flush toilets and running water.

- WiFi: It was pretty good, 42mbps download and 22mbps upload.

- Other things to note: The hosts are friendly and drinking water was included. There are also tall enough trees that they would block the wind for roof tents (no wind while we were there though).

Report Check-In

We loved this campground and the owners were also super welcoming!

perfect to stay in your car/van or to set a tent (just that in the tent it gets a bit noisy as it is close to the street).

nice common area with hammocks - good place to chill out and enjoy the good wifi 😄

one warm shower and clean and nice outdoor kitchen with free drinkable cold water.

still 20b/pp but totally worth it

Francesco was there to greet us; very friendly & welcoming. He suggested a few restaurants and where to find a shop that carries board & card games which we thought would be fun to have & keep us off our devices.
The property is lovely as others have shared, WI-FI, a community kitchen & dining area, hammock area and a gazebo. We parked near the new house they are building to Airbnb by May. They also have small cabins to rent.
2 bathrooms 1 men & 1 women’s with a shower.
We spent 2 nights, used our generator to recharge batteries in camper.
Walked all over town, the market is great for almost everything food you may need. We had a great dinner not too far from Mana Kai at Limb Cafe.
We highly recommend the Iguana Project tour at the San Ignacio Hotel. And then walk further to the Mayan Ruins of Cahal Pech.

Report Check-In

Well maintained, easy to reach with a large rig. Friendly and helpful host. Recommend this camping

Report Check-In

Highly recommended place for Overlanders, all has been said in earlier check-ins and price is still 15 BZD / person.
We had a broken suspension support and the Father immediately starting making phone calls and 2 hours later repair welding was done in town, very helpful and friendly family!
Also the bakery and town are very nice for shopping, strolling around and having a drink and diner.

Report Check-In

Mana Kai Campground is spotless clean. Great family run campground with 9 cabins plus hostel bunkhouse for rent.

Secured place just across the street from the Farmers Market in San Ignacio. Can walk to bank or restaurants easily.

Report Check-In

As described. Perfect campsite and base for tours around San Ignacio. Next to a bakery and the market and n walking distance to the town center with many restaurants. We had to lift a cable at the entrance but otherwise there was plenty of space for a big rig like ours.

Report Check-In

We stayed at this beautiful family owned camp site for 3 days and had a wonderful time. We camped here with our truck camper while we got ready to cross the border to Guatemala! They had electricity to power our fridge and fans. They also had a very nice outdoor kitchen that had everything you may need to cook or store food. They had beautiful landscaping and outside lounge area that were covered with nice hammocks to relax at the end of the day! They had very nice bathrooms with a warm shower which was really nice. We paided $15 Belize per person and an extra $10 to use electricity. It is also located right next to everything. We were walking distance to just about everywhere and super close to downtown. We had a very nice and relaxing stay and we felt right at home and very comfortable. Definitely would recommend and we would stay again.

Report Check-In

We stayed in this lovely family run place in our overland truck for 4 nights.
The owner Francisco & his son Thomas couldn’t have been nicer.
Lovely relaxed place where they really put the guests first !

Report Check-In

Really nice, fantastic fruit and veg Market next door. Recommend the Guava Limb restaurant 5 min walk away. No Electricity and no water or waste dump. Good kitchen area and showers

Report Check-In

Best place I had so far during a 5 months trip through Central America!

Run by a very friendly German / Belizian couple who are very helpful and engaged!

Pretty big and safe site, so plenty of space for big riggs or having privacy.
Around 10 rooms for to rent as well.
Clean showers and a small cute outdoor kitchen with fridge.
Small community area where I met open minded and interesting travellers.
WiFi all over the whole place.
The centre and the river is within 5-minutes-walking distance. Therefor sometimes a little noisy (chosse a spot to the end of the site).

I stopped there twice and felt very at home.
I highly recommend!

Report Check-In

Wonderful tropical garden campground and cabanas hosted by Nellie and Francisco. Many travelers, Rvs, backpackers, $15 BZ/person. Clean toilets, a hot shower, electricity available. Short walk to town; public market and great bakery 5 minute walk. Saw three toucans a few days ago.

Report Check-In

As everyone said, nice campground, big rig friendly.
It’s 30$ bz a night but there is no dump, no electricity and no water refill tank. But the wifi is very good, the common area are nice (kitchen, hammocks) and the owner very friendly!

Report Check-In

Camped here for two nights on our cycle tour towards Guatemala. Very friendly owners, good WiFi, kitchen guests can use and really nice vibe, loved it!

Report Check-In

Very nice place with everything you need!

Report Check-In

Nice campground. Has normal facilities - basic but decent bathrooms, communal kitchen, bug screened common area, decent WiFi. Really close to town (5min walk to a bunch of places). Owner Francisco is super friendly and can help with local tours etc. Paid $15 BLZ per person for two people in a little van.

Report Check-In

Place very nice with fast wi fi and hot showers . The owner are so nice and they have a baby so cute ! We spend good time on this place ! Perfect place in the center and near the boarder.

Report Check-In

Great place closed to the San Ignacio town. 2 minutes walking from downtown. Clean toilet with tp and shower with hot shower. No elec and no water at site. Very nice couple, very welcoming and full of advice. We spent 3 nights, 40bz$ per night for family and RV. Very nice spot with grass, shade, palapas, hammocks, a communal kitchen. We had a great time there !

Report Check-In

Stayed here for four nights. Very nice place with a large palapa with hammocks to hang out. Nice ownership and walking distance to the market and downtown. More to do in and around town than we initially thought. The owners can give you tipps...

Report Check-In

Stayed here for three nights (15 B$ per Person per night. It’s a nice flat grassy area. There is a outdoor kitchen and clean bathrooms with warm showers. Wifi is fast.

The owner can organize a tour to the ATM Cave. We recommend the tour but it’s expensive (95 US $ per person).

It’s not even possible to fill up water there.

Report Check-In

Nice, clean, well tended campground with warm shower (just one right now), kitchen, shelters, WiFi and electricity. Another price increase: now BZD 20 per person per night. (Negotiated down to BZD 35 for two people.)

Report Check-In

Lovely place to park and sleep with a well kept grassy area, Fully stocked outdoor kitchen with drinking water and palapas with hammocks and chairs. WiFi was also decent under the palapas. Super friendly owner, enjoyed our time here. 15bz per person per night.

Report Check-In

Open and receiving overlanders. $15.00bz per person per night to camp. Everyone is friendly. No masks required inside the property. Next to the San Ignacio market, which has the best selection of fresh produce we’ve found in Belize so far. WhatsApp +501 627-1324.

Report Check-In

Right next to the produce market, a french bakery (with decent croissants and soso bread) and 7min walk from an awesome and nicely priced. Meat Shop for your bbq here and to fill up your freezer. Trees and shade make this campground cooler then the souroundings.

Report Check-In

Super nice camping for 15 belize dollars per person/night. Plenty of space to pitch the tent or park a camper. nice clean bathrooms (one with cold water only, but it's so hot there that it doesn't matter ;)). there is also nice kitchen. the river is 2minutes walk. it may get bit noisy from the street during the day, but for the rest it's a really great place!

Report Check-In

Still 15BZ p/p, wifi, kitchen, bathrooms with showers (the one on the left has hot water), palapa with hammocks. Nice place. Right in the town, so can be a little loud. There was a festival last night and the LOUDEST music played until 4am. The couple, Nellie and Francisco are incredibly kind and helpful.

Report Check-In

Still BZD 15 per person, still a great place. We came in late, when it was raining and they made us feel very much at home. Super clean and well kept.

Report Check-In

Todo bien, solo que las regaderas están junto de sanitarios y faltan tendederos cubiertos. Pero todo fantástico, muy bonito y bien ubicado.

Report Check-In

Fabulous place. Recently installed a kitchen facility with sink, gas stove, refrigerator and basic supplies. Electric strong enough for AC at sites should be complete in a couple of weeks. There is one hot shower but cold feels good here. Tons of birds to be seen parrots, parakeets, aracaris if you are into birdwatching.

Report Check-In

Awesome campground (one of top 5 so far in Mexico and Belize) with a great grounds and owners. They do not have power at most of the sites (you might need a long extension cord to get to it) but they have plans to add it. Bathrooms are good but showers are cold. Unfortunately, there is nowhere to wash dishes and no grey water. But overall it's a convenient and great place to stay in San Ignacio and they have plans to continue to improve it, e.g., add additional showers, add power, add grey water, etc. over time so read the most recent reviews.

Report Check-In

Not the cheapest but great convenient location, friendly staff and blazing WiFi. Perfect stop to get your blog sorted before crossing into Guatemala

Report Check-In

Everything that people mentioned is true. We can ask for no more. Very close to everything in town.

Report Check-In

Everything as mentioned below. Still 15 Belize pppn. Everything clean and nice. If you have a dog: The owner’s pit bull is not the nicest dog. It was fine for us, but it is wise to keep you dog on the leash.

Report Check-In

Nice place to stay!
Clean bathrooms, hot showers, nice staff and fast wifi.

Report Check-In

Great location, friendly owners, good WiFi and bathrooms. Only problem is the Karaoke bar that blasted one horrible 90’s pop song after the other until past 3am. But it was Friday

Report Check-In

Stayed 3 days. Great place with excellent internet. After bad or no internet in Guatemala this is real luxury.
One shower cold, one hot.

Report Check-In

awesome location, great staff and an AMAZING bakery just outside the gate.... bathrooms were very clean.

Report Check-In

Great maintained campground on huge grassy area. Clean bathroom with hot showers. Internet was fast when we were there. Francisco and Nellie, a young belizian/german couple runs this campground since almost two years. Very friendly staff, we felt very welcome. Pays 15,- BZ per Person.

Super convenient to walk into town for the festivities, next to the market and the french bakery.

Nice gathering place for the occasion.

Report Check-In

Awesomely friendly people. Nice location for town and shopping. They are changing a few things, so camping services may change. Electric is at palapa in center. We ran a long cord from where we parked. Showers are cold but great water pressure. Bathrooms are clean. New puppy just wanted to play with our dogs, but owners wouldn’t allow it. Tied their dog up and reprimanded it which was sad. Made us uncomfortable having our dogs there. Water to fill tanks is available for a fee. We did not inquire.

Report Check-In

17usd per night, good wifi, clean bathrooms, nice palapa with hammocks, green grassy space. Relaxed atmosphere. Fun to talk to the groups of students that stay in the cabins here who work on the archeological site nearby. Walking distance to town, river for Swimming nearby.

Report Check-In

great camp spot super close to town.

Report Check-In

Nice facilities. Well kept and cleaned everyday. Internet is definitely one of the better connections we've come across.

The family and employees are very welcoming and friendly. We were there for the Easter holiday and watched the big national bike race together with the family. Lots of fun.

Report Check-In

Very friendly staff. Lot of restaurants, market and shops are in walking distance. Nice place to be and to visit the region around San Ignacio. Good WIFI, clean toilets and showers. We payed 15 BZD per people/night for dry camping.

Great spot in SI. 5 minute walk to town. good market. Friendly staff/owners. Nice grassed spacious lot. Clean bathrooms with good pressure showers. stayed for a week less a day. We did a couple of tours out of here. Francisco very helpful. Price is $15BZ pp. If you need electricity $5BZ/day. Definitely recommend.

Report Check-In

great place right into town within walking distance to main touristic streets. But what stands out for is wad how accomodating they were. we wanted to visit the famous ATM caves and we were approached by many guides, private tours etc... it was confusing. we ended up using the guide recommended by the owner. It was wonderful. it was cheapet and there were only 4 of us with our guide. We spent 3 hours in the caves and we could see bus loads of tourist doing them on 1 hour! The next day I need to take my dog to the vet! he had developed a rash and I was quite concerned. I asked the owners for a recommendation and he called his own vet who came to the campsite to treat Marley. Now that's service. They explained that they grew up and went to school with all these people.Belize is a very small country and everybody is somewhat related with each other, they told me as a way of explanation.
I highly recommend Mana Kai and if you need Anything! just ask - they will know who the best person in the business is. After all it is their reputation at stake.

Report Check-In

Great stay, particularly because the owners recommended the best guide for the ATM caves and their veterinarian came to the campsite to treat our dog. Clean, within walking distance of town center. Price as mentioned by others (can't remember now). Cold showers, wifi. Electricity extra.

Report Check-In

Same as others. Price was $15b pp. $5b for electricity. Very friendly staff made the night stay very enjoyable.

Report Check-In

They charged us 15 B$ p person for camping and 5 B$ extra for power. For the second night I tried to negotiate - no chance. The only result was, that the lady told me, that the checkout time is about 11 am. The last time, that we had a checkout time was in California. Anyhow, San Ignacio is a good place to stop and the wifi is one of the fastest we had since weeks.

Report Check-In

Excellent chilled little campground. wide open green spaces, electricity if you pay bz5 extra for it. close to a great farmers market and about 5 mins walk into town where the are bars and restaurants etc. bit of road noise but that dies down before bed time. we originally were going to stay 1 night ended up being 4 nights. nice others too. recommended.

Report Check-In

Good overnight spot before entering into Guatemala.
WiFi is fast. Walking distance to some good restaurants! French bakery close by. Showers&toilets are ok. Staff very friendly. Farmer market across the street.

Report Check-In

Meh, we stayed here for two nights and were underwhelmed. Relatively expensive, noisy and at least for us, the internet was very bad. Loading a simple google page would take minutes sometimes. We also tried washing a very small amount of laundry in the sink (a few changes of underwear) and were shooed away without even able to rinse them off and having to keep the clothes covered in soap, their reason was that they have to pay for water bills...

Also when we were about to leave they were a little pushy about leaving a good review for then on trip advisor.

Perfectly nice people otherwise, but the laundry and review incidents left a sour taste. Next time I would stay somewhere quiet farther away from the city.

Report Check-In

Chill little campground right in San Ignacio.

Right next door to the market, where most days you can find fresh produce (the freshest we've seen across Belize, and much better than what we found in most of Mexico for that matter). From here you can walk to a variety of restaurants, we tended to frequent the next door Hode's Place for bar food, a playground for the kiddos and that sort of experience, or Guava Limb is a restaurant a couple of blocks away with outstanding food.

Anyway, this place is centrally located which was wonderful for exploring San Ignacio on foot. Near the river, grocery stores, hardware, auto parts...everything.

The WiFi was also exceptional, cruising fast speeds that made it easy to work and even stream TV every now and then, though the palapa also had a TV in it showing Mexican and Californian TV channels.

The owner and manager were very nice, as were all of the folks who hang around / part of the family and staff. Just a great spot to hang out for awhile to explore town or get ready to head into Guatemala.

Electric is also available for $5 BZ extra.

Report Check-In

Good spot, other reviews cover it well. Adjacent to a market with the most fruits and veggies we saw in Belize. Internet was mostly good - I measured 650 Kbps up and down.

Report Check-In

Great location and run by a wonderful family. We stayed here on 5 different occasions during our 2 tours of Belize. Javier can help with almost anything, a valuable resource! Nice clean bathrooms, decent wifi, shared covered kitchen area, gigantic palapa with hammocks, and easy access to town. Water is potable just ask before filling your tank as there may be a charge for large amounts. Ran into other Overlanders every time we stayed here, BZ10 per person per night.

Report Check-In

Very nice spot! Good internet, free Mangos! We also booked the ATM tour which was amazing! Javier is very nice and helpful! We always have an extension cord with us while camping. So I would say there is electricity at site when you park right next to the hammocks, where the wifi and electricity are.

Report Check-In

Camping in good location, big grassy field, near farmers market and town of San Ignacio. French bakery next door also. Friendly owners, clean restrooms and slow wifi. Common areas with tv and hammocks. Paid 25bzd including electric using an extension cord from palapa area.

good place to stay when you go to the ATM caves, the location is average, power expensive (but we didnt know, therefore we got it for half price)

Report Check-In

As mentioned below except we paid 10bz for power as we wanted to run our AC at night. Good Wi-Fi. we also booked our ATM tour thru Francisco here with Luis as the guide and it was very good. Pd $85us pp.

nice and cheap camping. but, due to the fact that it's in the middle of town, pretty noisy. still 5 US p P p N. Electricity is 2,50US extra.

Report Check-In

great little camping spot. it's 10bz per person to camp and another 5bz for electric and 5bz for water. the electric is by the palapa and the water is at another point, so it's not a true rv park in that sense. but you can easily run a power cord from the palapa to your site. lots of space for tent campers as well. great staff and farmers market is close. wifi was dependable for not super fast. good spot

We were greeted by Xavier, the owner who said to make ourselves at home. Very friendly, and receptive to overlanders. He said we could park anywhere we like. There was a place to plug in at the palapa. Hammock are provided. Clean restrooms with showers. We happened to stay the night of the Belize National Day holiday, so there ws lots of activities, including a parade. There was one dog when we originally arrived, but friendly. Excellent location in the middle of town, across from the market. Free wifi available, but not real steady. Digicell signal was very strong. Walking distance to good food, and convenience stores. Excellent location for crossing the border to or from Gautemala.

Mana Kai offers camping and cabins in San Ignacio. Clean toilets and showers. Camping is on a large grassy field. There is a palapa with hammocks, tables and chairs where you can get power with a long cord. Walking distance to town.

Report Check-In

Cabanas and camping. This is near central San Ignacio, so you can walk into town from the camp site. There is wifi, a kitchen area, bathrooms, and a big grassy field. Some construction was going on while we were here. Rumor was that a pool will be built soon. Owner is super friendly. Ask him about anything and he will try to accommodate you.

Report Check-In

- 10 BZD per person
- decent bathrooms with warm showers and flushing toilets
- electricity
- slow wi-fi available at the office, does not reach the campsites because of a broken router, but normally it should
- large palapa with concrete floor and couple of hamakas, that is often occupied by two small resident dogs
- in walking distance to the "main" street, ideal if you want to go to a tour that starts early in the morning
- a bit noisy - there is a karaoke bar nearby that plays music into the night and a market that plays music since the early morning

Report Check-In

Nice camping in San Ignacio. In the very near a beautiful river and the market. Taste 10B $ / person including water & electricity. Has hammocks and a covered parking space. Was clean and had good showers. (Cold) Only the people were a little weird. The old owner we did not see, but her daughter did funny when we wanted to wash clothes. My brother is an alcoholic and sometimes hangs around in camping. We were watching us something that we have here during the day but not so his rest, but it was pretty cheap.
