Stayed here two seperate nights, not sure if this is the exact location but in the PLUZ just after the first hill there are multiple spots on the left side where you can camp. Was a nice spot with no amenities. Accessible in a 2wd van but we couldn’t make it up the next hill after this spot (that leads to better spots with views) would definitely need a 4wd for that but it was very icey

It is now a pay lot and overnight parking is not allowed. We parked in a quiet neighbourhood behind Home Depot for two nights with no trouble.

The spigot isnt easy to see but he is actualy there the guy at the store told me we could drink it and the gas price was lower than most of the other places round without water

Red brick building in this lovely little hill town. We are three cyclists and got a four bed room for 500MX. If the old man that runs it isn’t around, ask in the nearest shop.

Very welcoming! Nice people at reception. We paid 180pesos per person for 2 = 360 pesos. Nice clean and hot shower and coffee in the morning. We recommend it. Look for Zacualli sign on the right and go up the hill.

Great campground for a road trip! All above amenities were there, plus plugs in the rest rooms! There is no signage saying the water is potable which made me nervous at first, but it was fine.

Been on the road for three weeks traveling the Northen and Western Cape. This caravan park is an excellent stop over between Cape Town and Pretoria. Private bathroom, green grass and very accomodating host.

On our arrival we were very well received by Francisco and his wife who served us a delicious local dinner with all the products from their farm and the honey that they produce is delicious.

Beautiful area to hike and camp... however, one can only drive in about 1/4 mile as the road is closed. We planned to overland deep into Area B but we cannot. Lots of Highway noise! 2bars Verizon. No reliable T-mobile.

nice spot on the bay, many spots along about 500m of beach. no open bathrooms in morning. beautiful birds everywhere. hot morning sun, mild breeze.

we had a bad experience here, we think there is new ownership. Bad vibes from the start, the owners/ staff were unfriendly or outright rude at times. they are now charging 13,000 CRC per person per night! we are two people and managed to get a room for 19,000 total, which is still a lot for what you get. but we were knackered after a day's cycling so didn't have energy to search for elsewhere.
The room was clean but basic, that's the only good thing to say.
The pool is disgusting! Looks like it hasn't been cleaned for months. WiFi worked OK by reception but nowhere else.
They wouldn't let us take bikes into our room and we were worried about them downstairs, it didn't feel like they would care if anything happened to them.
The next day the lady on reception was hassling us to check out at 8am and they were banging on the doors of other guests demanding they check out, even one guest who was trying to care for her crying baby which was clearly delayiny her ability to leave immeditley! We were shocked by the lack of compassion or care from the hotel, even for a border town place.

Quick walk to the beach, popusa at 100 meters for late dinner and restaurant on the beach at 400 meters.

Great stop before/after border crossing ! As described, a large grass/dirt area that is below the road level so it’s not too noisy. A lot of tables with shade. Toilets super clean and staff very nice and absolutely helpful. Security guard all night.

Perguntamos ao rapaz do camping se dava para tomar banho, disse que sim e saímos para jantar. Ao voltar não havia ninguém tomando conta do camping, e não havia água além dos banheiros bem sujo. lugar é bacana, porém infra-estruturas por parte de banheiros deixa a desejar. não recomendo. Pagamos por algo que nos informaram que havia, porém não existia.

Someone must have cleaned up the trash. A few larger pieces but mostly clean where we were. Quiet from the highway, a few cows east 2 wheel drive in a sprinter van. Cell service Verizon 3 bar LTE. Perfect!!

Have this beautiful little Colorado creek that runs in a deep 60 foot canyon… I would do it again…

3/4 mile off forestry road…

Havíamos chego ao camping, perguntado ao responsável se havia banho, e pago pelo camping em seguida. Fomos a cidade jantar e ao voltar não havia ninguém tomando conta do camping e ao ir tomar banho não havia água e os banheiros muito sujos. O espaço do camping é bacana, porém aqui dificilmente eu voltaria.

Nice quiet spot with 4-5 campsites. Free 14 day stay. Has an outhouse.

Didn't see any other campers at Walmart and the parking lot was surprisingly full, but the Home Depot next door had at least a dozen big rigs in the lot.
I parked directly in front of Party City, out of everyone's way. One cop sat in the HD lot for most of the evening, but no issues. Easy access to 35 and lots of restaurants in the area.

Lovely small place, vert quite, except a few cows mooing the host says there’s Javelina’s coming through, but I did not see any. I will definitely stay here again.
