Absolutely awesome place. Quiet without any trash or much sign of people. Made it up the big hill in the front with my 98 Ford E350 van on the second try. If you drive further down the main dirt road there will be another, much smaller, less steep hill that will take you up to the plateue which has great views. Stayed two nights and loved it.

Nice mellow spot with a great restaurant/bar. Tent camped for 200mx under a palapa in front of the old hotel. (Bring earplugs, truck noise)
Shower and bathroom were great. Will be back!

Large flat open gravel parking lot. Great place to stay between San Fran and Sacramento. The cops came by to patrol at night which was nice, just checking in. Good cell service with Verizon, and a porta potty on site

Expensive. Nice atmosphere. Detergent provided free. 4.50 wash $2 minimum for drying. Cheaper doing laundry at truck stops actually. Place is clean and nice tho. Coin machine down ‘due to national coin shortage’. All machines accept cards.

Camping allowed in designated spots . 4 WD roads. Need fair clearance. Free. Primitive, camping , but has fire rings at the numbered spots.

Friendly service, but you have to negotiate. We paid for two bigger bags 6 Rial. Ready overnight.

This place was great! Highly recommended for an overnight. Great bathrooms and the WiFi was a blessing (no AT&T coverage). Keep this one nice, please!

The border is still open now. Lots of trucks but you can cross with a car or a campervan

Google maps can locate the entrance to the campground next to the Oxxo with ease. The entrance has a clearance of 13 feet and it’s a broad east drive into the camping area. Each spot has electricity, 15 amps, a water faucet and a dump site with a large cement pad for camp furniture under broad shade trees.
The bathrooms are spotless with seat toilet paper and hot water in the showers.
The WiFi works. Staff are friendly and helpful for the campers as well as the renters in the apartments.
Highly recommended. April 2022.

Lots of small pullouts on road above lookout. Pretty quiet in April as not many people camping this time of year, can hear the highway but it’s not too bad. Great rock ledge to hang out on/get an awesome view of the mountains.
