this is not an area where you're allowed to camp, we pulled up and felt it seemed too good to be true, chatted to a ranger and it was - he said to go up 4 miles to the Sequoia National Forest where dispersed camping is allowed (it isn't allowed in Kings Canyon). we found a layby and pulled up in the forest area and all seems fine!

Heck yeh Circle K! I was about to pay for water but I found this spot last minute. Every pump has spigots but some don't have handles. Good pressure.

A FREE rv dump!! Plenty of parking for larger rvs. Not the cleanest restrooms But the free dump is enough to encourage one to stop.

This place was so nice. BF and I parked both cars by the county building/in front of the playground on Sat night (Friday night or Saturday only as the county will be closed). Gate for the park was open so we were able to use the bathrooms and collect water from the water fountain for us and the dog. Probably not for long term but for one night was perfect.

Seven pull through sites on-site at Cabela's. First-come first-serve. Water available to fill tank. Dog kennels (you clean up poop and dispose) for doggie duty. Trash nearby. Bathroom within a mile of location (at night) in store when open, if needed. Parking lot lights all night. Darkening blinds would help.

Close to I25. Some traffic sounds. Mostly big rigs.

Excellent! We paid 16,000 pp for a daily menu (1 soup, 1 main course, 1 lemonade and 1 coffee). Everything was really good!
There is ample parking.

Great finca, ideal for a stop on the road between Medellín and Bogota!
Super welcoming and adorable family!
The food is also excellent and inexpensive!
It is possible to park with a big rig (ours is 7m20), but you just have to be careful not to park in the garden below in the rainy season, even if the ground looks good (there is space at the top, on the side of the road but in a closed parking lot)! We got stuck but the owners did their best to get us out of there!
We definitely recommend!

Relaxing camp place in nice wadi, windshelterd, silent, unvisible and shaded. Real old corals surrounding you. Perfekt snorkel places a little bit north. One of my favorite places on the red sea.

stayed 2 nights at the beginning of May.
it was free because out of season... fortunately because it is a parking lot without any facilities, no water, no electricity, on a slope in certain places (park at the top if possible). the view is amazing.
(Out of the season toilet in the lodge building)

Budged local Hotel. 550 Toman (8€) one person with breakfast. Room doesn't smell good, bathroom smells disgusting. Room is clean but really old and used. No wifi. Staff is friendly but nobody speaks english.

Very good place for a night. You could also put up a tent. Very quiet and as the previous speakers said, a few picnic tables, a fire pit with a grill and no special ban on camping.

Correct Hotel next to city center for the price ( 17 euros with breakfast). A bit old fashioned but well mantained. Matress not the best.
Have a small parking, good for motorcycles or cars (few ones), I parked my motorbike inside. Not for big vans.

Gorgeous location. Great views over the valley beneath. Absolute peace and quiet, saw no one here. Approach is quite uneven and muddy in spots. Will be worse when it rains. 4wd not really necessary when dry but some clearance definitely needed. No internet reception with Asiacell.

Iraq --> Turkiye
Iraqi side relatively straightforward and fast (~1h). We went to the bus line (but there were also other cars) and they tell you step by step what to do.
We had some issues because they wanted the papers you get when you enter from Kuwait. We didn't have them because at the entry border they kept all the copies we made. After a while (and after paying the 43000 IQD) they let us go (with the carnet correctly stamped).
We were given 3 copies of the passenger list on the Iraqi side, before the carnet and passport controls. We didn't pay anything and we used only one of the lists for the whole process (you need it mostly in Turkish side).
Passport: just go inside a building and get stamped out, easy and fast.
They checked inside the car accurately but it didn't take long.
The 200 tl you must pay are for "decontamination" (there's no entry tax to Turkiye). We argued because they weren't actually doing it, so the man turned the spray on only for us. This is kind of a scam, try not to pay or insist they really "decontaminate" you, at least.
After that it took forever. There was a not so long line of vehicles waiting to get stamped into Turkiye but only one officer for all the people (we had 2 buses ahead of us). When it's finally your turn you must hand the passenger list and your passport for signatures and stamps. Here they also look into your car.
Then it's car registration turn: if you already have insurance it doesn't take long, UNLESS you are sent to x-rays. We waited for 2 hours to be scanned (we didn't unpack anything from the car even if others did). After the x-rays you must go back to finish your registration process, if not they don't let you exit.
In total Turkish side was ~4 hours, most of which just waiting.

Behind the restaurant they have a small ground where I took my vehicle and camp. It’s on the base of a small hill. The view in the morning is magnificent. The weather was comfortable even when India was going through heatwave.

Very beautiful and peaceful campsite, highlighting quality over the quantity of the visitors- only 4 spots available. You are surrounded by beautiful palm trees with enough privacy around you, near riverside, with own ablutions and donkey hot water.
Lovely Swimming pool and chill out area where you can watch river flowing, with wifi possibility, drinks available and Belina is making delicious homemade bread (restaurant not available ). Staff very friendly and helpful.
We have spontaneously extended our stay to enjoy this peace of paradise! Well recommended!
