Jimmytravelsaround | stayed here for two nights. Still 350 MXN per night for the van and two people (also if you don't need electricity or water plug in). we enjoyed our time here (freezer with ice cubes helped) had the best pizza here, although the pizza oven is not ready yet, but John promised me it will come this season.

katharina_teut | We stayed over a week here because we had to wait for spare parts and one of us also got sick. There is a mixed dorm with 8 beds and all the other rooms are private rooms with bathroom. You can cook in the kitchen and you can wash your laundry for 100 Som, which is super cheap. Everything is new, well maintained and clean. The dorm costs 600 Som and the private room 1600 Som.

neutralprotocol16 | Open again. Super quiet place to stay. Couple of vans and truck campers staying as well. Can hear the train going by. No services or trash. Fire rings all around the parking area and down by the river. Board set up with a sign posted for a 14 day limit on camping. |

wanda.trips | Dormimos 2 noites aqui em frente ao centro cultural, foi super tranquilo! Os policiais passavam alguns vezes durante a noite. Se pedir dá para usar o banheiro do centro cultural.
We slept 2 nights here in front of the cultural center, it was super quiet! The police officers passed by a few times during the night. If you ask, you can use the bathroom of the cultural center. |

gentleaddiction49 | Great and beautiful family run restaurant with wifi, area for camping (tents only) shower and space to relax. Super warm family. fruit trees, small beach. The food was very clean (!!!) and better than most food I had for many weeks of travel in Peru and with ingredients local (fish, duck). They can prepare vegetarian food as well if you like. Warm nice family. If you need to part you can try Collpa Lodge down the road- they have a rustic cabin and space to stay in an RV or van. +51 985 884 800 is Edith. Spanish only. can call and ask about camping or eating. Mostly open for lunch. +51 985 884 800 i |

les.breizh.trotters | We asked to stay overnight in our RV. The price is now $10 per person, children too. At that price we could use the swimming pool and the toilets. We didn't stay because $40 was too expensive for us. The owner explained to us that he has changed the prices since the renovation work was completed. |

anoukoepfer | Restaurant next to main road, easily park infront, big menu but they only served rice & fish, 1000 pp Whole town is a “border-town”, we didn’t feel so comfortable, but okey with the car standing directly in front of the restaurant. |

Matt Badolato | $400p per night for a parking space in a weedy lot with broken down cars, old trailers, hungry (but sweet) dogs, lousy views, and cold showers full of pillbugs and roaches. I did walk down to the remote camping spots which look cool, but I wouldn't touch that hill in our 20' class C with 2wd. Sketchy and washed out at the bottom. Spend the money at another camp in the area (maybe the management at other camps will appreciate your presence more, don't feel super welcome here) |

B&B's Adventure | We crossed the border from Mauritania to Senegal with our 4x4. First, we had to pay the Diawling National Park’s entrance fee (200MRU/pers). The road within the park (even a bit before) was in pretty good shape, very dry. We arrived at the border around 10am (10h). On the Mauritanian side:
We were then free to leave Mauritania. On the Senegalese side:
We did not buy any SIM card on site (we met a traveler who gave us his Senegalese SIM card and we gave him our Mauritanian SIM card). But you can definitely do so at the border and then get some more internet/calls at Saint-Louis. Also, we strongly recommend having a CPD for Senegal (if your vehicle is more than 8 years old). We met people at the border who did not have a CPD and needed to pay 250€ for a Senegalese importation document/passavant. They had to wait all day for this document (and its stamp) since it had to come from Saint-Louis. We left the border at 11am (11h). Overall, this border was very chill, everyone was smiling and wishing us safe travels. |

halulom | I stayed here for one night and found it a charming campsite. Nice bathrooms and friendly owner! They have plans to build rooms and a spa place. I would stay again. My campsite the next day was more expensive and not so nice. So Camp Lijak is a good place to stay in my opinion. |

Track World Travel | Approx. 2 km dirt road. Good maintained, no need for clearance or 4wd. Not really steep, but I think it's a no go for heavy vans with only front wheel drive. The plateau is not flat. To get from the track to this point you have to cross a ditch. The same kind of ditch as almost everywhere on both sides along the track. There you need 4wd with clearance. Most of the area is farm land. We didn't stay. |

Track World Travel | Approx. 2 km rough narrow dirt road. Good maintained, no need for clearance or 4wd. At the spot not much space to turn or to park. Most of the area is farm land. We didn't stay. |

instagram.com/erlebnis_sammler | Very nice spot. Of course dificult to find as the „google-way“ is not poss as the step is to high. But drive further on and turn left through the forest. We drive a 2wd 7.5 tons MAN and had no problems. Be aware of the trees, but then you will have a perfect and quiet night. The first 400 meters after the street are extremely washed out, but ok.. |

SomosLibres | This is a parking option in the middle of Puno, but for rigs which are not more than 2.5 meters tall. It's a small garage so you will have to go there and check if there is space but I left my van here for 10 days while I went to Arequipa by bus and paid 15soles per day and had no issues. |
