Good for a night or two. There were lots of other vehicles on a Monday night but very quiet.

solid spot for stealth overnight. there is angle parking on both sides of the street, one side is a new apartment complex, one is a vacant lot. won't fit big rigs or vehicles much over 20' but I was fine in my van. felt safe, there is a grocery store/shopping complex a block away, only negative is the light rail coming through every few minutes but I slept great. wouldn't recommend for multiple nights. 3 bars Verizon/4 t mobile

lot of free water spot. good place you can fill direct or bring your hose

I never found the fountain in the picture. I did find the actual spigot however. GPS does take you to exactly where it is. It is right near the playground and central shelter. Bigger rigs may definitely have an issue filling up here. Tiny lot to park in. I only use jugs so it was easy for me to fill up.
update: I did find the pump near the bathrooms as well. This one definitely not as accessible for larger rigs. But the one I mentioned previously could work better if you have a hose.

Propane refill tank is by the dumpsters in a far corner. Super quick process at 11:30am on a Tuesday morning. We refilled our 11lbs tank for $11.75. Thank you!

There are some great spots. 15 in particular is great looking with the creek right nearby however, there is a near constant natural gas odor. Sometimes the wind brings you a pretty strong wave of it. The smell drove me away, but if you can’t smell it may not bother you.

Other places along this road are not too good for pitching a tent. Although the road is quiet at night, you’ll still be on a side of it.
I found this nook to which you can roll your moto and be invisible from the road
Either set up camp on the beach or right before it. Tide never went all the way up at the time of writing

Beach is magnificent, long and isolated! Tons of crabs. Some fishermen in the morning, but no one bothered
VIVO LTE is available, but wouldn’t count on it for work

I highly recommend this beautiful spot! Quite central in Cajamarca (20 min walk from the center) but oh so green! We were received in this beautiful family owned farm and couldn’t help but stay for 10 days! The sisters and their dad working on the farm are just amazing and shared so much with us, explaining us their work and showing us around the many animals (cows, goats, geese, chicken, alpacas, pigs, horse, Guinea pigs, rabbits, dogs, cats…) and plantations that they have. We had a beautiful green spot with trees and shade to park and setup, lots of space, all the services (hot shower oh wow), access to fresh products (not only organic vegetables but also fresh milk and eggs every day and meat from their animals). I have to admit we left with a few tears in our eyes!

Gdnp dump station with rinse, potable water available also. Pay to get into the park but if you hold a pass this is clutch.

It is a weekday and no one was at the tourist center. So I was able to enter for free. It’s definitely an out-of-the-way place, but worth a visit.

Read to the end for a warning-

As described by others, this is a great place! Inexpensive too at $10 a night total for two people and a Land Cruiser. The back gate opens to the beach. Great inside places to get out of the rain. Kitchen, hot showers and electricity. Very clean and functional kitchen with fireplace/bbq.

Close walk (400m) into town where you can buy pretty much whatever you need. We stayed 4 nights and really enjoyed it.

Now the warning. When we arrived the lady Claudia that runs the place said that her dog was attacked two days earlier outside of camp by a couple of dogs which required a vet visit. We witnessed another 2 on 1 dog fight outside of camp and my wife was walking on the beach and was forced into the ocean by three aggressive snarling dogs. The camp itself is completely fenced but if you venture out, be aware.

We’d definitely stay again.

A sweet little site a short ways off the road. Look to be a number of places to stay with easy access branching off of the main dirt road. Fire ring at the site.

Nice friendly and relatively small casino. Spent our pocket money and luck wasn't with us. Didn't try food, but had a courtesy soft drink. Stayed overnight in the adjacent car park in our RV. We asked permission at the members area and we were warned to move bikes inside the RV as its a sketchy area. Our bikes are cheap and weather-beaten and were there the next morning. Had a great night's sleep.

Private rooms/cabañas with own bathroom and fridge next to the town center. Secure parking spots just outside of the rooms (in addition to the police commissary being on the other side of the street). Very clean and cosy, the owner was very friendly and arranged everything with a lot of detail. We paid 22’000ars for two adults and one night. Good place to stay overnight if you want a break on the RN25. Contact: 02801 54 36 1065

Peaceful place between fields, away from the main road. Small leveled turn-off with space for one car or two tents, the last 20m are a bit steep on loose gravel, might be difficult in a 2wd. Not suitable for big rigs.
There is a house near by they came and were really friendly and told us it's save place.
We took the switch backs from the bottom. But also saw some cars coming from up.
