Very neat and well organised. They also have a self catering house/rooms available close by. Off street parking.

We camped here for two nights in the “backyard” of the restaurant. Price Q60 per person per night. It’s a small grassy spot. There are bathrooms and hot showers and (slow wifi) even in your tent. It’s also possible to camp or park your van at the parklot in front of the restaurant/hotel.

There is also a “palapa” with 3 little 2p tents which you can rent.

The food in the restaurant is good. They do breakfast from 07:00.

The entrance of the Tikal Maya site is 2 minutes walk from here.

17 km before this place is the main entrance of the National Park. You have to buy your tickets here. Q150 pp for tourists. Q25 pp for locals.
There is an ATM at the ticketbooth.
Just before the main entrance is a bigger Super24 supermarket. There are some restaurants and souvenirshops in the park but that’s it.

In front of Jaguar Inn is the campsite of the park itself. It’s a large grassy area with palapa’s where you can pitch your tent. We checked the toilets and the showers and they work normally.
There is lot of wildlife walking around on the field. Very cool.
If you want to camp here, you have to purchase your campingticket at the main entrance.

Very nice place to camp. Down the road from the campground. Right on the water and fairly level.

Beautiful campgrounds, easy access. Close to town. Facilities are very clean. Wifi is fast. Host is kind and helpful. During the high season they also have a cafeteria. Off season very quiet, almost had the place to ourselves. R25 per person per night.

Great spot by the river.
Has a firepit. Not for big rigs.
Unfortunately had to pick up lots of trash, so sad people won't take care of this amazing places.
Gravel road to get in but in really good condition... Only downside is you can hear noise from Freeway across the river(just been picky)

This is a hidden gem. Close to I 40 and near town but another world. Take the second entrance to the park and camping is right there. A bit of a walk to the Porta potty, so stay near the entry if this is an issue. Classic Diner is just before the turn onto Lake Road. Harvey Q's BBQ and cheap fuel are at the corner. It felt nice to be someplace this real.

Good little spot. Only seen two people in 24 hours. Road not to difficult four wheel drive not necessary just some clearance. spot is somewhat level. Tons of rocks. only about 1/4-1/2 mile off of interstate 40 on the North side and can hear the cars and train. Pilot travel center is a few miles away for small things you might need. No WiFi but been using my cellular data to watch movies.. I'm staying here for Overland Expo 2023 for a couple weeks.

Beautiful Sunset Spot.

A cop was driving by at around 9 pm, honked once and left. We could sleep well, very little traffic, no further interruptions.

Morning was very foggy.

Middle of nothing. Silent. Dead quiet. Great place to sleep. Can have a fire, very unlikely you’ll see anyone out here. Stars and view are amazing.

Road was was really nice and easy. I wouldn’t come in Sedan or bring a big RV out here but it probably would make it to the first few pull offs.
Pulling off road has potential to bottom out a car but anything not super low should be ok.
Curvy and go as deep as you want. I went 3 miles in. Blackest of black nights.

Bring anything you need. Nothing here but wild horses.

Toilet is a hole you dig. Water. You bring it.
I would sleep here anytime though. Very nice

Rest area on the road with no amenities. There is no prohibition sign for camping and there was another van overnighting too. Very close to Pinnacles Desert.

Take the road (there is a new tarmac road almost all the way to the canyon but it is not yet visible on Google maps sattelite view) at these coordinates (44.3036213, 53.5435606) and follow it over the train tracks. Entrance to the canyon at these coordinates (44.3281908, 53.5114891). As it was quite windy on the steppe we drove down the canyon for a couple hundred meters to find a less windy spot. Train is a bit noisy though but nothing that keeps you out of your sleep.

By far the worst airport in the world

New design, new chairs and al arranged in such a way that you cannot lay down anywhere. Sit up straight or lay on the floor, stopover 6 hours. The ‘Oasis Lounge’ special for Air Maroc stopovers, looks nice on the advertisements … reality is that it s just the public foodcourt with an extra signing.
Only the cafe style chairs, designed to get you away asap
