Camped here with 33 foot travel trailer. Great level spot

Good area! Stayed one night. Mostly level streets. Quiet night except for a loud car or two. Felt safe compared to the spots just west of here.

Nice little campground with everything you need! Olga, the host, is really nice and friendly. But she told us, that it is now 200pppn, because all the taxes and stuff went up.

But if you are not travelling on a budget: This is a very nice place to stay and relax at the absolutely stunning Bacalar Lagoon!

(Ah and don‘t miss the Tacos at ,Taco Loco‘! Sooooo yummyyy!)

A well-maintained campsite with lots of privacy between sites. Was able to use the 30amp power at the site, but water was shut off for winterization.

800 TL, or $24,50 a bit pricey for the quality, but it was too late in the evening to bargain. With breakfast. Street parking under CCTV, paid car park nearby, but I found it safe enough for one night. There are several similar hotels in this street.

The road is frequently used during the day and we couldn’t find a flat spot so we moved on.

Broken tent and two thefts.AVOID.Broken tent:Long story short; my tent (a good as new MSR Hubba Hubba NX(~€600)) was broken by a child belonging to one of the staff, who was, unsupervised, learning to ride a bicycle around our camp while I was out shopping.Owner Darren Raw (who also owns Swazi Trails, the largest tour operator in Swaziland), consulted with his lawyers(!) and accepts no responsibility, would not compensate, nor apologise. Said that I shouldn't have been using an expensive tent, and claimed that he has no money in any case. - Not that he was willing to help pay for a new pole(~€150) anyhow..Out of nowhere literally says that anyone who threatens to *expose him* on social media can f**ck right off. I never made any threats and merely tried to solve the situation between us. His attitude became increasingly aggresive.I have had to fix the broken pole somehow, with no help, with no idea how long the fix will last, and am basically left with a valueless tent.----Thefts:The first night a 20 liter drybag dissapeared. Staff knows nothing, do not search for it, generally don't care.Went to speak to Darren about this and was called a racist for thinking that perhaps one of his staff had taken it. After having consulted with his lawyers(!) the owner Darren then decides to replace the item with another, smaller and inferior drybag, that he had lying around.The second night, things again dissapeared from the kitchen. When asked the staff about it in the presence of Darren, the staff admitted. Again, no apology, no acknowledgement. As there was no reasoning with Darren and his attitude was increasingly agressive, I left.---Aside from all this the backpackers and campsite are rundown and overpriced. The (unsupervised) gate to the road was left open all day as a dump truck drove in and out. Be aware that there are many large dangerous branches hanging overhead at the campsite. The staff are rude, slow, and generally apathetic.If you do go there and your belongings are broken and stolen, don't expect anyone to care, much less accept responsibility.

Perfect stop.pretty busy with games and visitors until dark. No issues. We stayed near trees by fire house.

Beautiful campsite. Some shade from the palm trees. Clean toilet and shower. Hot water in the showers. Restaurant om site, make sure you order in advance of you want something like a taijine. Food is good. We paid 100 for the night. 2 persons in 4x4. Washing was 60. Friendly staff, speaks France and english. I would recommend this place to chill, before heading out into the mountains or dessert.

Great budget rv park with a beautiful pool! I paid $200 pesos for just me and my camper dry camp. Shower has a switch to turn on hot water 15 minutes before, worked great . Owner Patry is delightful and went to college in US for English. Wifi ok but not streaming able.

We were charged 4,000 to enter the parking lot. Toilets are very clean and open all night. Grass to park on. Great place to spend the night. There were actually 4 of us overland vehicles there at the same time. We felt very safe.

Still a good stop after a long day driving. Great pressure and heat in free shower. Bathrooms cleaned regularly with soap and toilet paper. Worth noting hot food is not available between 3 and 8pm but head into Axion in town if you need to eat - great choice of savoury dishes and wonderful slices of cake.

pricey food but the staff are amazing, great service and very friendly. the food was good, my gf and I both agreed a germany trip is in the near future.

We spent three glorious days in the park and can’t recommend it highly enough. If you love the quiet beauty of the bush this is the place to be. We camped at Katoyana campsite. Lovely cs no 1. Hot water showers were bliss. We saw huge herds of wildebeest, zebra, antelope, 12 Wild dog on a kill, a pride of 12 lions on a kill. Our time was awesome. Lots of birds identified too. A must visit park. Reservations required and a good GPS. Wild camped in a forest night before entering the park. Must have 4x4

Excelente opção, toda a estrutura necessária para quem viaja com a intenção de acampar. Aceita pet, banheiros limpos, agua quente. Todos são muito atenciosos, muito seguro, acesso fácil e próximo a mercados, posto de combustível.

Attention! Today, in the Soriana parking lot, 3 guys tried to rob me with a gun. Maybe they wanted to take my truck. They tried to drag me into my truck, but I pushed the one with the gun away and asked for help. They ran away. There was an interesting detail. There was no one in the parking lot on the right side, but then an old red truck (I didn’t think of taking a photo of it) drove up very, very close to me and seemed to block the view. I think it's an accomplice. Zihuatanejo becomes unsafe.

Not nearly as many campers as most of the snowbirds went north but for some reason people are bunching together just to get under a palapa. Been windy this weekend.

As described, leveled areas vary. Arrived late stayed through to the after noon sat/sun no issues

although this place is beautiful, the music next door went all night. it never stopped. also revving engines. the sound carries over the water like it's in your camper. it is now 6:40 am and I haven't been able to sleep.
