Nous sommes arrêté pour une nuit et malgré qu'il y avait beaucoup de camions, l'endroit était très calme. Très grand stationnement.

Stayed one night here with another van. Very nice place. Crowded during weekends (but people leave around 6pm) but we parked our van in the field after the soccer field and it was perfect. Very quiet at night. There’s water, bathroom and restaurant. 50 pesos/person.

Had a super nice California State Patrol stop by and let us know that you can only park for 8 hours maximum at the view points. He said Highway Patrol will definitely write tickets for it as it's a spot that keeps popping up and being closed on free camp apps, so it's an ongoing issue. He recommended the Rec Area nearby for paid camping or to do dispersed camping off of the local forest roads, both of which are within a few miles. We did hit the Rec Area for day use ($10) to grab some coin showers, enjoy the beach, and other amenities.

We just did the Wakhan Valley on 2 motorcycles and it was amazing but also tough. There is a lot of gravel, some sandy parts which were actually ok but what was the most annoying thing is the washboard surface. But it's definitely all worth it for the spectacular mountain scene. We rode the Pass end of April and there were only 2 times where there was some snow left, but we were lucky with the weather, sunshine all the way. If there was rain or snow the days before, the road can get very slippery and dangerous. It took us around 6 hours from Lengar to this point.

PLEASE OTE COORDINATES CURRENTLY WRONG!! CANNOT CHANGE THEM!!
Museum about the history of Oman, but not my cup of tea!
A lot of computer animation, but I couldn't find a logical way round (being Western maybe).
Entrance fee OMR5, in my opinion far too much!
However, my opinion, other might love it!

We stayed there for a night, all good. One camper was there and a few locals came by to walk their dogs. One of them warned us that a bear was apparently living in the area, so we were careful with our food & garbage (there are closed bins near the dog park). Quiet despite the road. The second parking lot nearest to the park has signs "for authorised vehicles only" so we stayed in the lower one.

AVOID THIS TOURISTIC TRAP!
They call it a "market" but you can't enter if you are white and don't pay 5000 CFA per person, to see around 10 little stalls, with a real bad smell of dead animals and full of unfriendly and tricky people that only wait to take advantage of the tourists. In Benin, Quidah or Abomey the market is more authentic and you only pay if you want to take some pictures. Really dissapointed to come here in the first place!

We stayed only 1 night there, as we crossed the border with Ghana in the evening and arrived around 9pm. To our surprise the bar/restaurant was closed already and Sebastian was going to sleep, apparently the place is only open until 6pm. The first comments are confusing in here, we thought that there was a parking in front of the bar on the beach but you basically have to park on a busy narrow street, with no privacy whatsoever. We managed to park, next to an abandoned bar close to Sebastian place but it was shady and dirty also. In the morning, we felt and didn't get to see the restaurant or bar. We don't recommend this place for camping/staying or maybe we had too high expectations.

We took the risk to arrive on Sunday afternoon and it was full of people but… the field is so big we could park at the end of a big grassy field and spent one wonderful afternoon and night. Still 50 pesos per person. Recommended!!!

Trash everywhere, but very beautiful views on the cold lake. Nobody asked to pay anything, although there's a small booth with prices shown at the entrance (unmanned). Many small shelters with table and benches. Reachable by bicycle, had to search a little to find a flat place to pitch a tent.

A few hundred meters south of here was an entrance to an open area, we arrived at night and found a spot semi hidden from the road. In the morning we left at 9.30 there was a guy collecting wood. A decent spot for before or after Tai

As described you can only access the dump or RV parking so I’d not plan to stop there for a break if you’re using the dump.

Santa Ana viewpoint. you can park in front of the Maragua church and walk up to the viewpoint. Walk of approximately 1 km with 100 m of elevation gain which will give you a very beautiful 360 degree view of the Maragua crater which is not a real crater, but a fold of land also called the Maragua syncline.

Great place to stay overnight. There are 3 lots, one at the coords which is off to the side, one next to the hotel, and one next to the gas station in front (good for bigger vehicles). There are cops who will drive thru the lots but they're looking for drugs, not people sleeping, so it's pretty safe. As long as you aren't a being a nuisance they'll leave you alone. WiFi access code is holiday if you're close enough. There's a couple restaurants nearby and a supermarket across the street. There's a couple public bathrooms inside or at the gas station/BK/McD.
