It looks like the road in is now being graded. We had no problem at all with access…any car can and did do it.

One of our favorite campsites in our two years of travel. We sat under a shade tree with tables/chairs, a bbq, lights. You can see and hear the ocean from the grounds. Hot shower. Clean restroom. We paid $20usd a night for two and a Land Cruiser. The view alone is worth the cost.

We walked ~3 kilometers into town for groceries.

We will fondly remember the three days that we spent here. Excellent in every way.

we tried two times our different credit cards, but it doesn't work. so cash is better.
if you are the first one, then you should have the money exactly because they don't have change in the morning.

A Chilean couple traveling on a bus advised us to come and park next to them on this parking along the beach. It was indeed a safe and quiet place for the night. A small playground for kids next to the parking with public toilets and potable water.

Clean rooms, AC hot water TV, friendly staff, close to everything, I took a newly renovated room @ 2200 INR.
Secure parking for motorcycles. Perfect place to reset before or after Wagah border. I stayed 4 nights - 2 days Dehli-Belly.

Hotel in Kandys, good for sleeping.

The room was nice, bed comfortable, AC working well, and shower was here as well.
Breakfast is included and it is a buffet.
Staff is really nice.

la route est en gravier, mais elle est en très bon état. Pas du tout besoin de 4x4,n'importe quel véhicule peut passer. Avec notre pick-up camper, en prenant soin du matériel, notre vitesse moyenne était d'environ 50 Km/h sur toute la portion. Pas de couverture téléphonique Claro, mais un point wifi gratuit vers la passerelle des gorges (voir point Ioverlander).

The road is gravel, but it is in very good condition. No need for 4x4, any vehicle can pass. With our Pick-Up Camper, taking care of the equipment, our average speed was about 50 km/h over the entire portion. No Claro phone coverage, but a free wifi point to the gorges gateway (see ioverlander point)

Quiet place to spend the night, close to the lake. 3 Km from the routa 40.

Good place to withdraw Western Union money in the supermarket. 3 counters, so quite fast. Possibility to easily withdraw the equivalent of 400 euros.

Terrain vague en sable près de la piste cyclable. Très tranquille, aucune lumière. Nous y avons passé la nuit sans problème :) Il n´y a aucun services par contre nous sommes a 2 minutes des outlets où il y a toilettes et restos.

The couple that managed this hotel is very friendly, hospitable and helpful on another level. The rooms and garden have pretty nice views over the snowy mountains, probably the best hotel views in towns. Super nice place to stay in. WiFi is medium speed.

They have more economical prices for single persons. I paid 40 soles for a good room. Good breakfast for 10 soles.

It’s good place to do the hike to Choquequirao. I left my bicycle and other stuff I didn’t need at the hotel during the hike. Plenty of room to park a motorcycle as well. They have other parking space but it is limited.

They don’t have an option got card payments, there is no ATM in town.

There are 3 different spots on Ioverlander for the same place.

Estuvimos una semana aquí. Se siente muy seguro, pueblo muy tranquilo. Durante fin de semana hay movimiento de turistas, luego en la semana es muy tranquilo. Durante el día íbamos a pasar el día a otras playas y a la noche volviamos a este punto.

Parked right next to the sandy beach, quiet and by ourselves. Some trash but that's common on the island. Exhibitionists and such frequent the area...just ignore.

All as described - pleasant experience - kind staff both sides - 2 hrs total. Very nice facility. Come for the closing ceremony.
Pakistan carnet guy gave good $USD>INR exchange rate.

Price is now 225P pp pn, a bit steep for what you get campsite wise, but fine for a night after crossing the border.

Easy and fast, 5 min. Nothing to pay and no car checks. They give you some tickets, hand them over when required (1 in Kuwait).

We had e-visa and this was the second time we entered Kuwait, so we didn't even get off the car, just showed it on our phones. Fast and easy. Nothing to pay (Italian passport).
For the car it took 30 minutes but because they took their time, I think. Anyway, they asked for Carnet and stamped it, we also got an A4 paper and small tickets. The A4 is for you, the tickets you hand them over to the last booth. Nobody asked for insurance and the booth to buy it was closed when we passed (early morning).

Place is allright, should be able to find cheaper in this village. Simple breakfast is 2500

Beautiful lake views with concrete pads. Clean shower and bathrooms. Marina and restaurant with store on property. Has a gated area for dogs to run.

Lovely rest area, very quiet and perfect for a quick overnight stay. Very clean restrooms.

Cold water from the mountains from 2 taps. High pressure but medium volume. Easy access. Clean and direct beside the road with good parking.

Maira and Fábio are great hosts, offered the place, water and energy. Very good people, we gave them 20000 for one night.

We spent 1 week here. Ursula, Paco and the entire crew are so friendly and they help you with everything. All is clean and the best: everything in Arequipa is in walking distance. We felt very comfortable here.

Estacionamento livre para Motorhome de abril a novembro. Linda área de frente a praia central, plano e com alguma sombra. Perto dos restaurantes e comércio.

We just stopped for a brunch/coffee, but it is indeed a very beautiful spot. When we were here the road ended in a giant swamp at the base of the mountain, thus all the mozzies! No problem during the day. One friendly guy passed by while we were here.

Ok little spot…nothing too special, but will do for a night. You are very close to the road, but with anything smaller than a big rig, you can get well hidden.
