Best stocked supermarket we found so far in Malawi comming from the north.
Wide range of dairy products, really good choice of cheese, bacon, different sausages, good range of different wines….

Nice and clean double room for 550, warm water, European style toilet, mosquito net, electricity.
The owner Abe is a really gentle and kind person.

Lovely place, nice view, friendly staff. We could use the kitchen and they let us put the tent in a platform with a roof (to cover from the rain) but there is also plenty nice grass to camp. Good for big trucks too. Nice cold shower and clean toilets.
We paid 200 birr per night for two people with our tent. You can also use the big set up tent with beds (not sure of the price of that). Manager was not there when we visited but staff contacted him on the phone and he was very nice and friendly. A friend of the manager came by and provided us information as to what to do in the town and also helped us with money exchange. Make sure to bring your own food because shops are a bit far away (20-30 minutes walk)

here is a water tap with very great pressure. we filled 100l in 1-2 minutes its at the side of Carrefour

Slept here 2 nights at this beautiful beach. You need a little clearance to get there but it’s so worth it. Nobody came the whole time, we were completely alone. You have a flat ground, sun and clear view in the day time :) we also saw dolphins and a lot of seals playing in the water during our stay. Jackals and maybe hyena as well. Perfect mtc signal!

Stunning park! I spent a week coming back here each day to work in my van and then a couple more to hit up all the free museums and zoo. Parking is everywhere as you can park along the road. Park hours are 6am to 10pm. Authorities certainly ticket during closed hours but never got bothered staying till close to 10pm each night then going to surrounding neighborhoods.

Matías is a very friendly guy who speaks English and Spanish. He offers excellent kayak tours to the marble caves! It was 45.000 CLP pp in low season (50.000 in high season) but you can negociate a bit. Solo and double kayaks available. Just contact him at +56966201853 to arrange your tour. Recommended!

Tired campsite. Ablutions were dirty when we arrived, no one else staying at the campsite! You have a view of the staff quarters if you face East hiding from the sun. Camp sites are a mixture of dried grass and soil. Not the best place we have ever stayed. Not sure why it has so many positive reviews.

Nice Campsite, but a little bit expensive. We paid Adult 30.600pppn and for our Kids 4 and 6 Years both the half price.

from the track you drive a bit off road I. direction to arrange rock formation ( looks like a mushroom), petrified dunes. you will have shadow with the rocks and some thorn trees. dandy spot. no dust. no wind whe. we were there. very quiet and very beautiful.saw some shepherds far away possible to hike around. no signal

Nice place near a lake where it's allowed to camp. There's also shelters and a huge fire pit

6 vans, 4 tents & 3 small trailers here last evening; 2 trains went by; 1 out of 3 bathrooms open; clean & well-stocked. All sites perfectly level; each with large grill. Entire campground neat & well-maintained.

Nous sommes passés hier à 16:00, il n’y avait personne. Ce matin à 09:00, la dame est là et nous avons pu avoir de la Nafta 95. Un peu plus cher, mais ça rend service.

Quiet, well kept. Arrived about 830pm, no one around. I parked by the pavilion and cell tower overlooking a pond with a fountain. No one came by. Bathrooms are minimal, but kept. No locking doors or stall doors in either bathroom. If there was someone around when I arrived, I would ask permission. I would stay here again, it was lovely.

Very clean and reasonably priced place to do laundry. Very close to a Planet Fitness (about two minutes away).

Very nice Western style Hotel. Clean rooms, AC WiFi - friendly English speaking staff. Secure compound - with all types of entertainment. Safe parking. Restaurant onsite. Not cheap but worth it considering the high standard of accommodations. Perfect staging point before or after Waga border 1 hr away.
I paid $46USD/night.

I took out insurance for our 7.5 ton truck here for 3 months for 35,000 CFA. I had to negotiate, but it wasn't a problem.

I think the original poster was trying to share this place. As you leave the gas station and head towards the freeway, there is access to BLM land. As the road bends left, it is off to the right. Clearance is helpful and you might might 4x4 pending conditions. I imagine it can get sloppy after a good rain.
