I 🖤 this campground! $10/night is a steal of steals! Gorgeous area, I was the only one camping at the time, and it snowed on me. Easy road in/out, Chadron is close by with all the chain stores for restocks. Great place, although the road is a little noisy during the day.

Lots of holes still. Extreme caution advised. Buuut, they are repairing the road and parching the tarmac.

This is a place to get your vehicle washed, before dropping it of at the RORO terminal in Zarate. The Tourist Office is 75 meters away and there are numerous flat, quiet, and safe overnight locations nearby, on the street or in the riverside park.

Camping OKAY, nothing special but nice if you are looking for hot shower. 8,75 EUR for one person with tent. 15 EUR PLUS for extra person. In total we paid 24,75 EUR for 2ppl, tent.

Easy access by bike (there were also cars of fishermans so for sure you can arrive probably 4x4 reccomendable) nice and safe place to pitch a tent, even hide from wind. Lake water is dirty. There is few beaches around with slightly more clear water.

tons of forest service roads with dispersed camping everywhere. I've got a 30ft rv and for the most part, easy to find camping. Just beware of the elevation of over 5000ft. perfect to escape the heat of Vegas. rangers are all over the place

Quiet place just north of Santa Maria. Calmest place two ours outside LA

A camping car-friendly parking, with 11 parking spots, toilets and water tap. A nice pic-nic area is next to it.

Ficamos 2 noites aqui, local tranquilo durante a semana, próximo a feira livre da cidade, há supermercado em frente, padaria bem próximo, na avenida. Tem torneira no gramado. Também há banheiros próximos.

O camping é pé na areia e na nossa opinião ponto estratégico para conhecer a praia de Antunes que é perto.
A Praia em frente ao camping também é muito boa para banho.
O camping é simples porém muito aconchegante e tranquilo.
Passamos uma semana de paz e sossego.

Older loves, bathrooms and tad sticky but the guy at the front desk is super sweet. Not much parking but we ended up next to another few people who were also car camping.

Street parking in a nice neighborhood, feel safe, this Street without any restrictions, close to the park, and the downtown.

Absolutely loved this place and it's a great base to explore Wakhan Valley and further afield. Great intro do Pamir culture and people and host is it ncredibly kind and helpful. I stayed here in 2 occassions and will definitely be back.

Very quiet rest area. I didn't hear interstate traffic nor idling trucks.

Nice little spot! Easy convenient access from the freeway. We stayed one night, 8pm-6:30am. Arrived just before sundown. There was no one else there. Plenty of room for our huge duallys truck and 29’ fifth wheel. It was as quiet as one can expect from literally being right next to the freeway. I could hear the semi trucks going by but it wasn’t to bad, didn’t keep me up.
Perfect little place to pull in for a night. No one bothered us and we still had the place to ourselves in the morning.

Nice and not expensive hostel with dorms and private rooms. I stayed in diferent private rooms from 19 to 23 dollars (45.000 tzc). Nice breakfast included.

The most important. I'm traveling with bycicle and I could leave the bike during 10 days while visiting Zanzibar without any charge. Bycicle outside but under a roof and bags in a room.

Still good. Two other vehicles here. A dog walker in the morning. Move on and keep it clean. Best perk was the access to the community shower nearby in an awesome community center.

Awesome and welcoming. Closes at 9 pm. See if you can ask for tokens for the lockers (I hadn’t asked, but just kept my things with me).

Wonderful spot! Very quiet - train came by (as anticipated) with horns sounding at around 7am. Beautiful area with covered picnic benches. Bathrooms open and clean!

As described, including noise levels noted in the April 2023 post. We checked to make sure overnight is still allowed - definite yes. Friendly Walmart staff. Park on garden center side south of the gas station.

Came here after Wal-mart turned me away. Freeway traffic hardly noticeable. Very loud garbage truck Wednesday morning at 4:45 and a delivery at 5:30.

Staff was super friendly. Lush grass field in back for dog to roll in.

There is contradiction here. we stayed with no issue. Summertime could be different story.
