Nice spot to camp for free directly on the beach. Great area, you can fish and watch a lot of bald eagles and other birds. Free, no amenities. You will need a good 4x4 to reach the spot - it's about 1000 ft through sand and deep gravel. No problem for big rigs, as long as they are 4x4.

Awesome spot! You can see the volcanos across the bay and there is fishing on the Anchor River right behind you.
GCI was getting 4 bars LTE with our booster.
ATT was 3 bars LTE with booster.
Was a bit windy at night and during the day.
You can go all the way to the end of this spit to the mouth of the river but be careful as the sand is pretty deep in some places.
We have a 10,000 lb Sprinter with 4x4 and low range. I did NOT air down the tires (55 front, 75 rear) and was able to get through with high revs in 1st gear. I think this was as challenging as I would go for beach driving with this heavy a rig.
Report Check-InAn excellent spot as described. Very soft sand and large rock gravel. My Volkswagen syncro made it through however. Two bars of AT&T
