A big tar parking lot a few hundred meters before Fort Amherst. Nice view of the harbor and signal hill. Wind shelter, Trash bin, mobile signal but otherwise no infrastructure. Seems to bee a harbour sightseeing place for locals as we had a few "visitors" until 11pm but nobody bothered us. OK for a night

Does not appear to be any way to get to the parking lot of Fort Amherst. Road up is closed.
Report Check-InParking for 3 or 4 RVs. Facing Signal Hill, close to the port. We saw a cruiseship enter the straight.
There's a bit of traffic from locals but after 11pm it was quiet.
Nice view of St John's Port.
Stayed the night. As mentioned, several vehicles come and parked beside us throughout the evening for a few minutes and then left. But Quiet for the night. Great view of ships going in and out of the harbour and of signal hill. Good for one night.
Report Check-InParking is too small for a 19 feet travel-trailer and pick-up. Did not stay!
Report Check-InStayed here two nights, nobody bothered me. Gets busy during the day
