Description

It's a BLM Campground actually but it feels like boondocking and it's free. Spectacular scenery. No facilities and you are required to have a portable toilet system. Access 4X4 only.

Road is tough, happy to drive a 4wd with high clearance. My truck camper swayed quite much!
Great campground!

Great camp site in a beautiful canyon and best of all it’s free!!!

Report Check-In

All the sites were full on a Friday in early May

Really great spot that's free but no facilities. Be sure to have a portable toilet system as all the signs say you will be fined if caught without one. I got here in a factory Tacoma. The road was a bit precarious near the beginning as some posters have said but its very doable in almost any car with at least a little clearance. It took me about 20 minutes to go the 3 miles.

Midweek in May and we found one of the 5 sites open. Been here before and it’s still gorgeous. The road to Bride Canyon is improved from last time, about 4 years ago.

Only 5 sites and they were all full on a busy weekend. Nice area though. I would probably only try to go here on an off season weekend or during the week. Hilarious that one of the other posters said it takes an hour to drive this road. It involves a steep but fairly smooth dirt climb up onto the mesa. After that it's mostly rolling dirt. I wouldn't bring a low clearance car here, but a Subaru or greater will be just fine and it will probably take about 15-30 minutes to drive back there from the highway.

Oh, what a spectacular drive to an even more spectacular campspot!!

beautiful road but don 't go there if you are quickly looking for a place to sleep. 3 miles will take at least an hour to get there.

Awesome campground. We had the whole campground to ourselves. The road coming up has somewhat large rocks, and slickrock. The climb is a little steep, but nothing a factory Tacoma or 4runner couldn't handle. We ascended with a fully loaded adventure trailer. Sites are spread out and very spacious. It is a requirement to bring your own toilet system with you up here. If caught without one while camping you'll be fined. As always check my photos for the best description.
