There is a row of about 6 RV sized parking spots, where a sign says they are for "city vendor parking" BUT you can camp there from 10:00pm to 6:00am. It appears to be separate from the paid campgrounds next to here, and therefore free, but I didn't call to ask. See picture for more info.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
As described, this is a lot reserved for vendors and adjacent to a City of Seward campground. Stayed here for two nights in a Campervan. We kept a low profile. Quiet and safe, with the restroom close by. There were two slide-in campers beside us. Looks like a good spot before the city gets real busy.
Report Check-InPerfect stay. Arrived around 8pm. Stayed in my van and sort of stealthy. I wouldn’t think a big camper setting out chairs etc would be cool, considering all the paid spots next to this, but laying low inside a rig worked for me. Few cars parked overnight by me. Ocean view but back behind the paying campers. Grateful for this.
Report Check-InWe stayed one night. there were several other cars also.
the sign in the OP is gone.
no other signs except one "park closed 10pm",but nothing about the parking lot
