We passed a quiet night on the pan in our RTT. This spot is about 2.5km north of the Tjai vet control gate but you can camp anywhere on the giant pan. Beautiful sunset & sunrise. Amazing stars.
We don't have any photos of this place yet.

Camped near this spot. Great spot, nobody around. nice sunset and sunrise. However we were overwhelmed by the great amount of mosquitos. Other than that: great wildcampingspot.
Report Check-InWe stayed here right on the road. No vehicle tracks as it seems the pan hasn’t been dry very long.
We headed north from here following the road to Gweta. So very wet areas in the pan, but stick close to the grass islands and there is no problem.
Plenty of game around.
Report Check-InGreat place for a quiet night. Wonderful sky and beautiful sunset/sunrise. Couple cars passed by down the road but nobody disturbed.
Report Check-InWhen I got to Tjai gate there was not a single person.
However people seem to live and work there as I saw kitchen utilities and tents + beddings.
There is a huge water tank at Tjai gate.
If you are lucky it is filled and you can get drinking water plus wash dishes or whatsever. ;-)
same experience, can camp everywhere.
I just would not attempt to camp further north at "CT11". It can cause problems with the property owner. However I did not get any issues driving through the whole area, including some detours. some safari cars passed me without saying anything.
A nice free game drive if you going south to north I would say.
