Quite the adventure getting here... It is the trailhead parking for the canyon which is about 5 min away down the path... We asked the locals who said it was ok to camp... To get here you have to pass the road down to "the oasis" until you reach the little village at the bottom of the hill, continue straight once in the village and take the ramp down to the river, at the bottom of the ramp you need to turn up the river for 50M before turning right up the hill, follow this track for about 5 min beware it is a single lane with two way traffic with very few maneuverable areas, there is another river ramp just past the footbridge here you have to pull wide to the right to get up the other side, follow the track up the hill, left at the fork and the parking is at the end of the road...

The description is absolutely right. Got there without any issue. The river crossing is very scary but we did it with the Promaster. You really have to drive in the river bed which has water. There is a big sign (El Paraiso Canyon) where you should turn. No issue with the height of my Promaster with solar pannel and fan. Also you don’t have to cross the second river because there is a parking lot (#6-La huerta) right next to the restaurant. The entrance fees for the canyon is 100 pesos per person and 50 pesos for parking. We were allowed to stay overnight without any extra fees. It was in February.
Report Check-Inthe marked spot is not accessible now, season for visitng the canyon is from mid October till May. now the water is high and i had to stop before the footbridge where the parking lot is. locals were okay with me staying here.
also getting here is challenging even with a truck camper, wouldn't take here anything bigger. 3.30m is the max height due to branches and electric cables, tight turns are everywhere
