Description

Nice Camping in the arroyo just after the river crossing 3 km before Russian Valley Hot Springs. We decided to stay here because pets are not allowed at rancho and it is more private here. The road is bumpy, but fine with 2 WD. Always stay on the main track and don´t go straight ahead through the wash towards the Ecotourismo. Go left on the dam along the river and follow the main road around the private wineries.

Perfect for a night. No one came by at all so very quiet. View isn't great but it is very close to most of the wineries.

Sorry; my phone autocorrected to “4WD” from “AWD”. Mud puddle would be fine in 4WD I’m sure

Came here to crash the night before crossing the border. Huge puddle blocking the entire road right before the campground. I walked it in my sandals and it is very shallow but muddy. Didn’t want to risk it at dark alone and with only 4WD

Good and quiet place to camp. This is not our most beautiful bivouac, but there is not a lot of possibilities in the area, so that is good for one night. Before sunrise we heard lot of coyote cries.

Stayed here for a night! Really quiet, only a few cars passing by during the evening. Lots of flies. Heard coyotes as well! Littering seems to be a problem here, but besides that everything was fine.

the GPS send you straight there. if you continue around and follow the single track around you can find a lot of nice spots. Lots of ants so wear shoes. I was wearing sandals and my feet got bit up.

Over all nice place to camp.

Excelente. Very quiet. I heard coyotes at night and birds in the morning.

Stayed here for 2 nights while exploring the valley. Quiet & nestled between wineries. Much like other reviewers we did get to listen to coyotes at night which was peaceful. Woke up in the AM to tractors moving around dirt. Nobody said anything to us about moving. We found a spot that had a fire ring.

It is dark, quite, big rig possible, bit bumpy the last 3km, alone, nice area and views

We’ve stayed at this spot several times while visiting the Valle. It’s quiet and serene.

pretty sweet little area tucked in amongst a few vineyards/wineries. I ended up making a right just after the river (dry rn) onto a little track with few flat spaces to park. Great views and super quiet. I've seen a few coyotes in as many hours here so far, a couple of horses have cruised by as well. Definitely saving for future!

This is pretty incredible and peaceful. As the sun set over the mountain, birds began to flutter everywhere and four legged howls erupted from all directions. Now, it’s the perfect temperature and brilliantly silent.

This space is amazing!!

Very private with some nice flat spots to park, found one tree with shade but had to change spot because it was full of ants. not much shade and very hot in summer. made it with 2WD but had to lower the air of the tires to get to better spots away from main road. we could hear some motorcycles and buses far away passing once in a while.

Great spots as there aren’t many free options on Ruta Del Vino. Pretty quiet overall. Tons of wildlife including coyotes so keep an eye on your dog. Lots of birds and even a donkey that came for a visit

very nice camp spot. a lot of birds and other animals around. stayed 2 nights. it was easy to cross the river with my minivan but I wouldn't recommend the area in rainy season. the river bed looks like it knows a lot of water at other times.

a number of sites...nice and secluded. after turning left before the first river crossing, you'll go along for a while and eventually come back to the river. just over the river is a small track going off to the right with a few pull outs.
