Description

For me, the best spot on Samaipata, Aida y Otto are very friendly persons, Aida lives there and she is a great cook and singer (they love to do karaoke), also she is tourist guide. The place has a big grassy field, wifi, laundry machine, water, electricity.

We pay 40 bolivianos per person per night, I think if you want to stay more nights they will offer better price.

it is NOT a run down place! True, that wifi does not reach the CC, but you can seat at the terrace of the very friendly owners house to get internet.
Flat grassy place with 220V. Clean toilet and shower in the main building.

Totally run down place. Seems that Otto does not care anymore to cut the grass and keep the place clean and tidy. Messy everywhere. Wifi a TOTAL CATASTROPHE !!!! but there is no other paid place to stay for a big rig of 7.5 long x 3.80 high

the place is a bit run down. 40 bol pp is still the price (too much for what you get). high grassy area, not very level.
in the middle of the very nice village.

We spent 2 nights here. The lady is nice, however, when we arrived, she tried to charge us 50bob each per night. When she saw we hesitated, she dropped the price at 40bob…..
Also, the bathroom was very dirty.
Probably the only place suitable in town for big rigs.

Otto and Aida are very friendly and helpfull . Their place is situated in a quiet are of Samaipata. Good facilities.

We spent a night here, but unfortunately the owners were not there, so we couldn't find our way around. One person was sneaking around, which we couldn't sort out. Somehow we had a strange feeling because the campsite is not locked. Maybe it's better if the owners are there....

Good campsite / hostel run by a nice family. Solid facilities, easy walking distance to town, and as a bonus there are friendly dogs. 80 bol / night.

Price now 40pp or 50pp for the first night. Lovely place, use of the house and bathroom, very attentive owner who will do her best to help you however you need, good communication, is a small field next to the family home, would definitely recommend

Good spot to explore Samaipatta and around. Otto and Aida do assist for anything you need. With the shortage of gasoline, due to the strikes at St Cruz, Otto was able to help other overlanders. For other activities Otto can help you for a guide for Parque Nacional Amboro. Laundry service possible.

For us it is a perfect place. Especially for big rigs, like ours! When we arrived yesterday nobody was here but we sent a WhatsApp message to +591 73174304 and made an appointment for today morning. Everything works fine.

Went to stay the night here arrive around 6:30pm. Gates closed with a big rock in the middle of drive. I’m not sure if it was closed already or no longer runs

Just an update to say this place is still running. 70 b for to and the car. I think the cheapest in town.

Doña Aida is a very nice and helpful host. She makes you feel at home in her home. We had a very nice stay at 40 BS per person per night with a tent. The price includes the access to the kitchen and the bathroom.

We had an amazing stay and decided to stay 5 nights instead of our planned 2. Aida and Oto were great. They really took care of us, provided us with tea, fruits, food, nice talks and so much more. We really felt at home. The
surroundings are amazing and you have everything you need. They arranged a guide for our visit of the forest and took us to a mechanic (not the best in our opinion, but not bad either). We will miss this place!

Lovely people and great place to stay. We staying in our van on the grass field and saw others staying in a tent. We paid 40BOB per person per night. Kitchen and bathroom (hot shower) with laundry machine available (we used the laundry machine for free). Good wifi on the deck out front of the house as well as electricity. Very quiet and safe place. Otto was so nice to help us get gas. We stayed here multiple nights due to road blocks around Samaipata and it was very relaxing. Also, Otto was very helpful with providing info on road conditions. Recommended!

A really friendly family home with a huge space for parking vans and probably tents too. Banos and kitchen are available. It a short easy walk into town, and Aida and her daughters are very friendly. Not a lot to do in Samaipata town but not a bad place to stop for the night. There isn't a bell so ideally arrive in the daylight when they can let you in.

Otto and his good friend Aida were amazing hosts!

They really care about their guests!

Plenty of space to park in their large garden.

Aida recently opened a restaurant in town and can prepare a typical dish on request!

Aida makes the best Api and empanadas de queso in town! Delicious!

Facilities included the bathroom, kitchen, use of the fridge, electricity at the campsite, good internet! Laundry service is available.
