Something not right?

Description

Three man-made pools approximately 2 meters by 1 meter. Fed by natural artesian springs one hot one cold. You control the temperature by directing the separate flows. No services. Easy road but expect it to be bumpy but passable by small car or large truck. Looks like it could be treacherous in the rain.

GPS will take you down a muddy road before you get on the main road to the hot spring. To avoid that turn right on hot springs road about a 1/2 mile or so before gps tells you turn. It was pretty muddy in the rain but otherwise ok getting out there. The springs are nice and hot :) like others said you can control the temperature in each pool because there are hot and cold inlets in each one. Seemed pretty clean but we were there in the dark.

Awesome small hot springs with three tubs and a toilet at the trailhead (!!!). Surrounded by BLM, and 5G service in spots. The road is a little rough at the start, might not be fun driving for a commuter vehicle or big rig, but nothing unreasonable. I picked up a lot of bottles caps and cigarette butts which I witnessed were from locals... Please pack out your own and others trash to keep this a clean and happy spot!

Nice little Hotsprings, pools nicely adjustable, amazing sunrise. Coming in from the north you experience the flat salt pan, roads are good. It van get busy, but mostly quiet over night. No leeches, just the coyotes singing. Good outhouse, good cell signal.

Remote, quiet, peaceful area, nice hot springs

We are full-timers and have a 36 ft Class A with a Cherokee Trailhawk tow. The second half of the ~7 mile gravel road in is a little washboarded in places, but not too bad if we kept it under 30 mph or so. We stayed here for one night in early June on a Thursday. Only two other overnighters, one near the pools and the other across the road. There were only a few day trippers, but I’ve read it can get busy on the weekends. The entire area was clean and nearly free of trash. There is also a pit toilet onsite now.

AT&T coverage was fair, with 2 bars of 5G and speeds up to 4 MB/s.

Good hot springs, pretty far removed from anywhere. From what the miners that were here were saying it’s pretty busy usually. There’s a pit toilet but no TP. Pretty easy to get a larger rig level. Road in is easy. Okay cell service (Verizon) loads Spotify quickly and video slowly in the right places. Springs are fairly clean as far as natural springs go, they’re adjustable if you bring towels to block the stone waterway. Didn’t see any leeches as described by another reviewer. Lots of biting flies though

Exactly as described. Busy on weekends now

BLM posting 14-day camping limit. Put toilets. Verizon LTE one or two bars.

great spot, except in the rain, giant hissing leeches in hot springs, stay away.

Report Check-In

Very quiet and peaceful. Only one other camper in the area, though we stayed Wednesday-Friday morning. Hot springs were very nice to soak in. Plenty of dispersed camping area in the area.

Report Check-In

Nice flat gravel parking lot, bunch of makeshift firepits. The springs are hot, but you can control it (two streams come into the pool, one hot, one cold). Beware of leeches. We found a couple, and the people who arrived a couple of days prior also said that they were pulling out leeches every morning. Make sure to look at the wayer first, if any leeches, remove them. Most of them are dead if they've been in the pool long enough.

Nice simple pots. Some nudity but we are adults. The winds can be oppressive.

We stayed here for 3 nights. There are some firepits and huge space for camping. 3 pools handmade of stone. They are clean and you can regulate water temperature with cold and hot water from the springs. Few locals came here in the evening. It's normally very quiet. On the weekend it gets crowdy and people party all night at the pool. If you don't wanna party all night long, make sure not to camp to close to the pools.

Great place to soak and camp. We stayed for a couple of days and were the only ones camping. 2nd day no one else here. Good AT&T cell service

Three very hot concrete tubes all to ourselves...at least for now. Very quiet except for the flow of water. Time to enjoy a little reading and getting fire ready for later. Such a nice surprise to find places like this that are remote and FREE!

Report Check-In

Awesome place, quite busy and very loud on the weekends due to local party kids. Lots of places to camp.

Report Check-In

The site of a former resort with concrete soaking tubs of various temps and a few dirt pools. Wide open camping area near and far. No fees. No services. Occasional use. West on 174 for 19 miles. Right on gravel road for 7 miles. Passable by car with clearance or other. May be sloppy and sticky if muddy.
