Something not right?

Description

these roads go back and branch off quite a bit. there's plenty of camping back here. this particular spot is a nice little spot for one vehicle off of a dead end for a service road. not a lot of shade. scattered trees beautiful views though. Right off the highway. probably not suitable in the winter though without four-wheel drive

A little further up the road at 256.1G nice flat spot right off 256. Road is kind of busy for a forest service road so for more quiet and privacy go 100 yards or so down 256.1G flat spot mostly level if you get situated right, great view, only 1 vehicle passed by all weekend.

Report Check-In

Enter off Custer Crossing Road on a track with a sign marked “1 H Dead End”. 100 feet (30 meters) in there is a turn out large enough for a van. Fairly level. Weak Verizon signal comes and goes. Very quiet. Traffic on 385 can be heard but there aren’t many people traveling. Beautiful woods with a pleasant view and cool night temperatures in August. This spot is at 6,000 feet. Too small for big rigs but good for a tent. No facilities obviously.

Report Check-In

I could not find any pull outs or clearings anywhere near these coordinates that met the USFS dispersed camping requirement that campsites are at least 200’ from road.
