After the dark canyon (from Kemaliye) follow the road about 2 kilometer, then turn right into a small gravel path for another kilometer until you see the river Euphrat again. 4x4 necessary, motorcycle good, but difficult for beginners.

Report Check-InTruly beautiful campspot indeed. The views of the canyon are amazing. You cannot be seen from the small road nearby (which is btw really quiet, only one motor and one tractor came by in two days). We loved it, thanks for adding this amazing place.
Report Check-InNice place. We stayed on the plateau. You can drive down to the river, but the view on the plateau is better. I added the road to openstreetmaps today.
Report Check-InCouple of flat areas overlooking the river - calm & chilled. Locals came fishing but don’t seem perturbed by us at all. Use coordinates on a gps rather than Google maps or you will drive around a bit. 4x4 / high clearance required.
Report Check-InWow! Stayed here for 4 nights. Amazing view, really quiet (only person we saw is a cowboy that stayed for coffee and let our kids ride his donkey) and walk down to the river. There is a small creek with fast flowing water which is ideal for washing and playing with the kids. We left once all our food was finished.
The road from this spot to Kemaliye is really beautiful and adventurous driving on the rim of the canyon. If your car isn't too big (oursbis about 2,4m high and fitted easily through the 'cave tunnels') I definitely recommend it.
The base of the slope becomes really muddy after sustained rainfall. We had to tow a VW Transporter all the way to the road. Place is awesome though
