Description

Sweet spot higher up the Rioriand drive gravel road. Steep gravel climb but not too many bumps. 2wd okay but AWD recommended. Nice views and away from the crowds at Family Man staging area. In the open, good for solar but can get windy. Full 5 bars LTE signal.

Two flat pull out on the road. The first one is the trailhead for a mountain bike trail. They are straight sun up! But the second has a little shade in the afternoon. We plan on bike this mountain so nice spot.

Report Check-In

Nice pullout for 1. Tons of mountain bike trails. I think the spot up higher has a better view, but there were 3-4 vans up there. I’m in a truck, but the road doesn’t seem bad to me…compared to my home state of Idaho anyway.

Best spot we could find in Hood river, not the best road to get there but honestly not awful. It's at the trailhead to a popular biking spot although we where not bothered at all. Good service and a cool view over the city. Would sleep there again, about a 20 minute drive from downtown

Report Check-In

Incredibly steep gravel road to the top. That said, our promaster (front wheel drive with stock tires) made it up with no issues. There were two spots before the incline (just after the MTB parking area) but they were already taken. Very convenient camp for us since we mountain biked here that day and the next. Full cell service.

Loved this place! Great spot to end the day after a MTB ride in the OHV.
