Description

Free camping for several rigs around an old gravel pit that filled with water. Very close to Highway 95, so you will hear some traffic noise. Verizon is usable, very limited ATT, no Tmobile. Close to Beatty NV.

Good size lot. Plenty of RV campers around. Generators are a bit loud but they mask the highway noise. Staying in a truck bed tent.

Report Check-In

easy spot to pull in for the night. level and quiet, even though there were several other rigs and it was right off the road

Report Check-In

Several RV’s here, some look long term. An okay place for a night.

Report Check-In

We pulled in after 10:00pm, there were still plenty of spots to choose from even though there were already a few gigs there. It’s close to 95, there’s some noise but not too bad.

Report Check-In

Nice little spot. Saw 6-8 wild burros in the gully across the highway. It’s a bit breezy today.

Easy to find. Lots of room. Really loud trucks. I don't mind noise but the trucks here sound like fighter jets. Maybe just a bad night.

Report Check-In

as described in other reviews, large gravel area off the highway on Vanderbilt rd. didn't go up the road any further. hybrid suv pulling a 13' TT. multiple vehicles n any size rig'll fit here. all sun, no shade. did have 6 or 7 burros check us out setting up. 1 bar Verizon but workable. multiple entry ways into the lot.

Report Check-In

Big gravel parking lot near the highway with the pond to the right. DO NOT HEAD UP THE GRAVEL ROAD that is up the hill past the cement pad if you have anytime bigger than a car. We had to back our truck with pull behind all the way down. Not easy, but we did see some burrows up close! Nice spot for a night!

Me again. There must be some Twilight zone for my GPS. Found and stayed here for 4 days. Pond was pleasant to walk around. Lots of HOV activity everyday

Used my GPS for another location when I left and it took me to the same intersection...

Report Check-In

This is a 4 way stop intersection. No idea where Vanderbilt pond is.

quiet and safe! some road traffic but not much. some nice hills to hike up for a great view. photo are the hills across 95 nearing sunset! cheers!

Turn on Vanderbilt Rd. This spot is as described. For us it was SUPER WINDY. The van shook so hard it woke me up multiple times through the night. Very sandy so keep that in mind as you pull off to park. Otherwise, good spot.

Report Check-In

Great spot for the night, but do not head up the road past the parking area. There's a gate and no place to turn around. We had to back our trailer down the narrow road.

Report Check-In

What a great spot!!! Plenty of level areas for plenty of Rigs of any size, there is also quiTE clean looking Clearwater pond Which looks very inviting! Great place to spend the night! Best for campers etc. not so great for tents or because of the dust and traffic noise, imho. Saw the burros! YAY!!!

Also called Bombo’s Pond - when we arrived there was 1 teardrop trailer and later a tent camper arrived- Lots of burros but minimal traffic noise away from the road - we stayed 2 days.

Report Check-In

nice place a few cottonwood trees around the pond fairly popular with Travelers as others have reported very close to the highway lots of noise from big trucks especially when they hit the rumble strip

Report Check-In

nice and quiet boondocking with just a tad of highway noise.

Report Check-In

Nice large gravel overnight parking spot for any kind of vehicle. Close to the Hway so a bit noisy but it’s ok. Apparently totally official and free. No one will bother you. Maybe 6 or 7 other campers bus or van with us last night. A lot of room. No washroom, natural water available by the lake. Some fire pits. Very low ATT cell coverage and no WiFi. Felt safe. We saw some pretties mules when we arrived. Much better than real expensive camping in town. I recommend.

Report Check-In

Good place to stay just before Death Valley. Lot of room but not a lot of privacy. Dirt road and sand but it’s ok. Close by the road.

Report Check-In

Great free overnight camping. Very dark and quiet even with several boondockers nearby. Good gravel roads and trails to walk dogs.
