Latest Check-Ins

Paid for 3 nights but left after 2 nights! Washing machines are broken, ablutions are disgusting, we had to walk to the car park for the credit card machine to work with an internet connection. Pension rate for 3 days was R816. Normal rate is R1020 for 3 nights. Kiosk is sad but plenty ice cream. Scullery is filthy and you can see that nothing has been cleaned. Sites are not raked and many are uneven. It’s evident that this place is just for the beach and fishing. The monkeys are a huge problem and focus just on stealing food (nuisance) both night there were two hyenas knocking bins and strewing rubbish all over.

This is a very special place, Bush forest meets ocean! Loved, loved it here......the beach is deserted, clean white sands and you can walk for miles in either direction. The sea is warm and clear and at low tide you can swim, snorkel and enjoy the rock pools. The campsite is a bit basic but you are trmote and in the middle of nature being visited by honey badger, hyena, Bush pigs, Bush buck, monkeys etc. 340r for 2 people per night plus park entrance fees. We will be back

Report Check-In

Dirty ablutions. Water not very hot in the showers, beach still nice and honey badger came around. No Vodacom or MTN reception until you walk to the beach. Paid R340 per night for 2 adults and a 4yr old plus park entree fees. Ablutions look new from the outside but broken, dated and dirty inside. Half the staff seem to enjoy work vs the other half that couldn’t care less. Nice spot for a few nights plus good shore fishing.

Report Check-In

Campsites are nice and big with water (not for drinking) and power. They are a bit neglected. Ablutions are a real disappointment as the Look and feel dirty. We had no hot water on the last two days of our stay. The problem was reported but not attended to. Road to campsite is excellent. Cost in high season was high considering the state of the ablutions at R1008 including a max of 4 pax. R252 per person extra.

Bel endroit. Beaucoup de singes. Il n'y a pas de barbecue à disposition. L'eau n'est pas très propre.
À 50m de la plage et à l'abri du vent. Le camping est très ombragé. I y a une tour pour observer les baleines.

Report Check-In

Report Check-In

Very shady KZN Campground in a nice area of iSimangaliso Wetland Park. This was the first very crowded campground during our journey and we were lucky to get a site. Quiet. No MTN signal. 140 ZAR p.P. plus iSimangaliso Entrance Fee.

The electricity isn’t working at the campsite at the moment - but should be fixed again „one day“.
Paid only 70 rand per night bc of the power issue. And I insisted to pay for 1 person and 140 per site - it worked :-)

Cold water bc of no electricity.

Monkeys are a pain. Make friends if some of those people that are here for fishing ... Divine Dorade 😋

Report Check-In

Nice campsites under trees, monkeys can be very offensive. Ablutions are clean, showers are hot. Easy access to the beach, there ist a small path at campsite 39. We paid 196 ZAR for 2 people in one car, it was off season price. Enjoyed our stay very much and would definitely go again!

Report Check-In
