awesome... ...quiet... ...20 min from VLA (Very Large Array) ....it was in the movie contact. The route 52 and the access road into the forest can be very muddy and slidey when wet.

Great spot on top of a ridge overlooking the basin, you can see the VLA antennas. A little exposed to the wind. Several spots with fire rings. Plenty of firewood around.
