Nice quiet place to spend the night. The sunset was stunning. The owner of the property started a chat and was ok with us sleeping there. During the evening and night lots of wind. There is no sheltered area around.

Spend 1 night here. Nice flat spot. We asked permission at the “guard” at the beginning of the island. He was friendly and happily invited us into the island. Really quiet night with a stunning sunset and amazing view in the morning

Asked permission from a local at the entrance gate if it would be ok to stay the night and he said yes. Beautiful location and sunset! Great place for the night in our truck camper with our friends in their van.

Beautiful spot! We didn’t stay the night, but had lunch out here and enjoyed the views. Even if you don’t plan to camp here, the loop around the island is stunning.

Nice & quiet place, just a few people around, all friendly. At the beginning of the island, there is a new sign that says you need permission to enter, but I don't think they would turn back tourists.
Good cell reception, amazing sunsets.
First picture is the exact ioverlander spot, second picture is where I parked, 100m before.

A really good spot for the night before going back to La Paz. One smily fisherman came to say hi. Nice lake view.

As described. Quiet and peaceful place with view on the lake. There are several spots at this part of the island along the small road. The farmer very curious and wanted to have a look at our van.

A lovely spot right on the shores of the lake. Accessed by a narrow causeway road so probably not big rig friendly, you also have to drive through a village with small roads. When you reach the end of the causeway, turn right and follow the dirt road around the edge of the island. When you reach the other side you're all alone with only animals and the odd farmer for company. A very peaceful night. We're in a LWB Sprinter and accessed the area without any problems, plenty of space to turn around at the campspot too.
