Description

MODERATOR NOTE: WARNING! Thefts and vandalism reported in this location. Please use caution.

Coordinates are slightly off, made a pin as we were driving by. Lots of vehicles parked in the huge lot at Peggy Sue's Diner. Near highway, so likely loud, but would be good in a pinch.

Spent an uneventful night here. Traffic noise not even that bad despite being right next to the highway. The moderator note about thefts worried me, but across 3 different websites, I could only find one reference to a 2018 smash and grab at 11am and one to a 2020 theft of an external generator at 4am. All the other reviews were either positive or stated that someone had noped out based on vibes alone.

I'd say lock up good and don't leave anything (even not valuable stuff) sitting in view in your tow/toad. It gets very dark near the corners of the lot, so keep closer to the building if that is a concern.

Great spot to park overnight on your way in or out of California. The malts at the diner were decent and the parking lot is massive. There were some semis, a few vans, and several RVs parked. Does get some highway noise and it’s not the most exciting spot but I felt safe.

I stayed here last fall, and again today. Wow, it's kinda gone downhill. Being right off the highway, there is lots of trash. The restaurant and lot are clean, but there is trash piled up all around it. There's a cute patio with a pond. The pond was somewhat dirty last fall, but it's opaque green right now.

That being said, it's an easy and convenient spot for overnight. There's a huge lot, you don't need to check in or call ahead, just pull in and park. It's a little bumpy but level, and Verizon service is great. The food at the restaurant is pretty good.

good spot for the night. I parked near grass for the dogs nearest highest so there was road noise but

Huge parking lot, a little noisy but tolerable . Diner is unique, food fair, great shakes

This is the parking lot for a 50’s style diner. The menu here offers the typical burgers, sandwiches, pizza, etc. The have a soda fountain that offers ice cream. They make very good shakes and malts. There are many flavors of pie to select from. At the back of the diner, they have a fenced in area of grass and little concrete lined streams that is called the Diner-sauer Park.

They allow RVs and commercial trucks to park overnight at the sides or back of the diner. The parking areas have good security lighting, but you can move away from the lighting if you park on the east side. There are some parking lot speakers that play 50’s music. Again, you can move further away from the speakers on the east side of the building. Highway noise is noticeable, particularly when trucks go by.

Also nearby are some gas stations and a Jack-in-the-Box.

good food kinda pricey. free overnight parking in huge lot. I15 noise, but outside of that you can't beat the price!
