What an amazing place. One of the best overlanding campsites we have found so far (and we are not climbers). Mainly because of the helpful and friendly family who runs it. We stayed 9 or 10 days (also because our car needed to get fixed which they arranged)

We loved this place and the community! We wanted to stay 2 nights but ended up staying 4. The bathrooms are clean and showers are hot (when sun is shining). There’s a full equipped camper kitchen und you can buy beer from the fridge. Everybody gets a warm welcome from all people staying there. It’s really a special place! There is a very lovely street dog called “Comida”, we almost adopted him, but it wouldn’t fit in our further travel plans :(

We came here planning to stay three nights and ended up staying three weeks after a part broke on our vehicle. Raul and his family were amazing hosts. They gave us a secure address for shipping our part, drove us into town once a week to get groceries and supplies, and invited us to many family events for meals, live music, and even a traditional local carnival in town. La Burbuja is an absolute gem with a nice kitchen (well stocked with cerveza), hot showers, and the most beautiful view of the surrounding mountains. It's quiet and peaceful during the week with a bit more traffic from climbers on the weekend. It's worth making a detour to visit this spot for a few days. Dogs are allowed, but note that there is a sweet resident cat named Bombolla. Bring some pizza dough and give Raul's friend Eric a call as he is a master pizza maker and great local guide :)

La Burbufa is much more than a climbing camp. From the start, Raul and his family made us feel very welcome. Raul was patient with our faulty español, and helped us to learn more about Mexico. We are not climbers, but he helped us find walking routes. His facilities are maintained with care, and he will go the extra mile to make sure your stay is pleasant. Call ahead on WhatsApp (52 553 466 9058) as suggested. If your rig is longer than 10 meters this is not the spot for you. La Burbufa is on a hillside, so bring leveling blocks if you can. We look forward to staying here again.

Big rigs won’t fit up the drive way. Tried in our 40ft bus and got stuck going up, then again trying to go down. 3 friendly amigos helped hook our wench up and get us unstuck and said it was okay to park for the night here.

Stayed here for around 2 Weeks. The campground is so peaceful and chill. Everyone was super friendly and we had one of the best times here in Mexico so far.
There’s a big kitchen that you can use, showers, toilets and friendly dogs that watch the property from time to time and would accompany you if you go to the tienda.

Raúl and his family were so friendly and we felt generally included in the life there. They took us on hikes and a fiesta on the Mexican Independence Day.
I recommend arriving during the day. We arrived at night and it was a bit tricky getting up there but Raúl lead us the way so no problem!

10/10 would recommend to stay there especially if you like to go climbing as the area is known for it’s good climbing spots. But also if you just want to chill and feel safe and unbothered for a while.

Will definitely come back.

Warm hospitality in a truly beautiful spot! I was super happy to stay here, just 1.5h away from Mexico City. Amazing nature, very quiet, a few friendly dogs around… a bit of telcel 3G and an okay Wi-Fi connection. There’s a well equipped kitchen, showers and toilets, PLUS a fire pit and a pizza oven. Raul and Mercedes were super kind hosts! 100MX for 1 night

We stayed here for two nights, this region is one of the best for climbing in Mexico. Raul, the owner of this camp is super friendly and helps you with all you need. The açcess is a bit rough for the last two km, but easy for normal cars. No hight restrictions and sizes, but leveling of your rig is a bit difficult, blogs are available. The view over the valley is amazing, don't miss to visit this place.
