Something not right?

Description

Here is a steep part with loose gravel on the road to the Alternative Rainbow Mountain (3 rainbow mountains on overlander). We didn't make it with our (heavy) VW Kombi T2 (1.4 L Motor). We saw local buses getting impulse from the bridge 20 m lower.

the road is much better than the road to maccu picchu. drive by your own, there is really no need for a taxi. we where alone at the colored mountains around 1p.m.

Report Check-In

Without any problems with 2WD car. Dry conditions.

Report Check-In

got to the top with 4x4 truck

Report Check-In

No issues in our 2wd Chevy. Dry conditions. All good!

Report Check-In

We can‘t confirm the problems here. This part is steeper than the rest, yes, but even with 2WD and rainy conditions this is not a big deal. All you need is all terrain tyres and a heavy foot. We declared it as one of the better „streets“ towards an attraction. Really. We have a 3t Fiat Ducato.

Report Check-In

No problems for 4WD car. Saw many 2WD cars and minibuses on the road, so I think it may only be a problem for very heavy vehicles. Drive is very scenic, you climb 1300m to almost 5000m.

Report Check-In

We didn’t make it in our heavy (3 tonnes) 2wd VWT4 2.5l tdi. And very bad on our clutch that we even tried.

Report Check-In

No problems for us in our 2WD sprinter, but it was also very dry. I can see this being tough for a Kombi, but the drive beyond this point is stunning and absolutely worth doing.

Report Check-In

in good weather condition it was possible for our 100PS van 2wd to go to the top. streets are very narrow, in some parts rocky and bumpy and very steep. we enjoyed.
