Wonderful quiet place, not crowded at all.
We arrived while Mr Reza was collecting carbide in the dunes. So he takes care about that place and is a really nice and helpful person.
At night you have a nice Sky and can see stars with almost no light-pollution.
Thanks Mr. Reza for having us.

Wonderful pitch. Very quiet during the week, lively at the weekend (Friday).
Evenings around the campfire, breakfast in the morning with a view of the sand dunes. Sunrise and sunset are simply picturesque.

At night, if you ask, there is an introduction to the world of the stars using a telescope.
If you like, you can also go dune surfing or off-road driving (just ask Reza beforehand).

Access is also possible without a 4x4, the last few metres are bumpy, but the ground is firm. You can either stand at the building or drive further into the dunes. You can even get there without a 4x4, as there is something like a path. Then you have (except Friday) absolute peace and quiet and a desert feeling.

Shower, WC, drinking water, rubbish bin, sleeping facilities and en suite rooms, breakfast. Everything is possible, but not mandatory. Depending on your needs.

IranCell reception at the building good, in the dunes logically not.

Reza helps with all questions, is very attentive and friendly. If he is not on site, he is easy to reach by message or phone.

Excursion idea: Nearby is the salt lake with more beautiful sand dunes on the edge.

Really nice camping spot, beautiful views from the top of the dunes. Mr Reza was really welcoming, he even provided us with logs to make a fire. A bit more crowded during weekend but totally alone in week days. Highly recommend!

Magnificent place in the middle of the dunes. For all types of vehicles. Can get very hot and windy.
Mr. Reza builds his ecolodge with heart and sould. He is incredibly hospitable, helpful and also organizes great offroad tours.
Call in advance during the week or send a Whatsapp message, as the access road may be closed. Mr Reza is looking forward to every visitor.

This was the nicest place ever! Easy without 4x4. Hidden behind the dunes. Mr. Reza speaks a very good English. He build his own eco lodge. You can stay inside if you want. Sandboarding, barbecue and jeep drive through the dunes is possible. If the chain is still there call the number on the advertisement on the entrance and Mr. Reza opens the chain only for you. Price is up to you. We paid around 5€ for the night.

Very nice and quiet place to wildcamp in the desert! Enough places to be out of sight. Mr Reza visited us when we were there and gave his number in case of emergencies, very friendly!

Climbing the dunes to watch the moon and sun rise was really nice!

Mr.Reza has created a nice place to visit the sand dunes of Varzaneh. There are toilets available and water, but not sure if you can drink it. Had tea, shisha and fire roasted corn with his son and friends. Good people. Excellent view of the dunes and, rather fresh in the evening.

Place is open and free of charge. Just drive past the Parig Eco Camp and park next to the 54 meter sand dunes. Later in the evening Mr. Razi, who ownes the eco camp came by and explained us about the stars, desert etc and told us we could call him if we needed anything. Also he asked us to leave his number here +98 913 203 0096 so you can inquire up front with him if the wheather is good to stay here. Sometimes to much wind. The eco camp is open as well and you can stay in one of the rooms.

Report Check-In

Entrance is open! Everything as written before. We paid no entrancefee because there was nobody at the entrance.

As of December 2019 this spot is inaccessible because they've dug a deep ditch all along the road. We've accessed the sand dunes a few kms further north and paid 300'000 Rial to get in. Try to avoid the weekend, it's quads, motorbikes and 4WDs...

Report Check-In

Not possible anymore. They have closed access with little hills. The only access is to the complex (you have to pay 30 000 tomans).
