Free dump station. Water. We stayed at the campsite $14/nt with nice hot showers, beautiful views, but looks like the dump station is free of charge. Check out the view point at the end of the road!

OK for the night but not much more than that. Very desolate with lake in the distance and gas flaring further away. A welcome spot to recharge batteries, fill water tanks, empty waste tanks, and ha a shower. Moving on tomorrow.

Brantley lake state park. electric and water, covered picnic tables, Grills, warm showers cold bathrooms paid $18.00 reserves required. not my favorite place by any means but needed to recharge and shower. I'm not seeing the attraction of the place but.. if you need to plug in it works. dump station available *** bring blocks. some sites are extremely unlevel also read description of site many are short.

You can self check in this time of year. We arrived at 4:30 and no one was at the front gate. Found a perfectly nice spot to park for $14 though there are primitive spots for $8. Bathroom is clean and modern. Highway noise is present but not oppressive .

Nice place as everyone said. You can buy a NM annual pass for $225 and you'll only pay $4 for electricity/water. We weren't able to find spots without electricity/water. If you stay 2 weeks+ the pass pays for itself. The pass can also be used in any state park in NM.

Internet on T-Mobile/Google Fi was excellent. About 30 Mbps up/down and 70 ms ping. We had zoom meetings with HD video without interruptions.

Starlink is able to connect no problem too, as view of the sky is plenty. Some low trees so you may need to play with the dish position. 160 Mbps down, 10 Mbps up, 60 ms ping, no interruptions.

(we try to report on cell service for people trying to work off grid; IG: @pampas.overland)

Stopped hear for the night on our way to White Sands NP. Nice campground for $14/night using self pay form. Nice clean restrooms and a good hot shower. Nice walking trails to lake.

Report Check-In

Nice little spot. Showers are nice, hot, clean with great water pressure. Prices are worth it considering it had free water electricity trash and dump stations. The only draw back was access to the lake, but almost all sites have views of it.

We tried to stay at this state park but the entrance was closed by ropes and barrels with signage stating no camping (or anything, apparently). No problem, we stayed at the dam which was quiet and peaceful. See nearby sites on IOverlander.
