Mexico
This looks to be an old official toll booth taken over by locals. They will not let you pass unless you pay 50 peso. This does not show up on Google as a tolled road. So be prepared with 50 peso they wont make change and they won't let you pass. overall fairly friendly people, This has to do with government politics not tourists as they were charging all cars an buses. there were at least 100 locals manning the booth. There were 2 federallies cars there off to the side.
**edit we dropped the coordinates just after the booth. so its just before the overpass.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
It’s open. Regular car 88 Pesos but we had to pay 103 Pesos. Don’t know why and our Spanish is to bad to discuss. People are wearing uniform.
Report Check-InToday toll wooth was taken over by locals. Maybe 40 people. The car in front of us had to pay 50 mxn. We were lucky and they waived us through.
Report Check-Inedit to my previous post: 93 pesos
wish it would've been locals. ;-)
all normal. 43pesos.
lots of local travelers and national guard around here...
Today also the locals were here and we pay 50 Pesos. Cheaper than the offical. :)
Report Check-InPassed again today and locals were still here charging 50. We handed over our pesos and were on our way with no issues, and it is cheaper than the normal toll.
Report Check-InWe passed this toll booth and didn’t know we should’ve payed. There were a lot of angry men with wooden sticks and we felt very unsafe. We tried to speed through, and got our car completely smashed. Broken window, lots of dents, broken door..
We were quite late so I’d recommend being here early and to pay..
Report Check-InLocals were at this toll booth today charged $50 pesos. We passed here 3 days ago and it was operating as a normal toll booth for $93 pesos.
Report Check-InNormal toll, 90p for cars now. Large police presence talking to cars going away from Oaxaca, we were not stopped.
Report Check-InI drove past here today in the afternoon and this was definitely an officially run booth, nothing different to any other. Paid my fees, got my change and my receipt.
