Clean restrooms; quiet overnight parking for cars (busy for trucks). I advise parking near very start or very end for more flat parking spot.
if you're heading west on i4 0 you'll never find it....its on the eastbound side. Don't type in i40 rest area on google maps because it will take you to someones house

This is not the right place for the rest area Jefferson on the east side of the I-40. You have to drive at least 3 more miles east.

Sign at entrance to car parking area saying 2 hour limit. not sure if they actually enforce it but wasn't going to chance it
Report Check-InEast stop off 40 where it meets 81. Very Clean restrooms. Full of trucks, parked our van at the far end of the car parking for the flattest spot. Note the location is incorrect, it’s 36.0515353, -83.4113564
