Description

Pullout along the south side of Dillahunty Rd. About a mile past the RV parking lot. About 100 yds off the road. Not enough space for a big RV to turn around at the end of the loop. oh and solid LTE w/ T-mobile

Large parking lot. Can fit any kind of RV. Flat gravel.

Report Check-In

Easy access and it is Flat with a fire pit!!! and free.

Great spot! Can't hear the highway at all. Keep going past the large free Campground, you'll see a turn on your right. The coordinates are pretty accurate I drove straight to the spot about 100 or so yards from the main road

It seems like most other reviewers think this spot is the large parking area off the highway (Chosa Campground) which is free as well, but these coordinates are for a more secluded pull off farther down Dillahunty Rd on the right. This spot was very quiet and barely any vehicles go down Dillahunty Rd so it's great! Good Verizon reception. We stayed 2 nights with no issues. The views are incredible!

Report Check-In

Found a nice space down Dillahunty Road about a mile past the campground on the right. There’s also a dirt road on the left, but you have to drive down it a bit and the person in van there wanted their privacy.

The pull out on the right is big enough for an RV to turn around and also park safely but don’t miss it as an RV can’t turn around on Dillahunty road, it’s too narrow. I went several miles further down the road and found nothing.

3 bars of LTE, 5 with my booster.

Great little gem right off the highway! Lots of space to share with other campers and really close to park entrance. Great weather for the end of May. Plug the coordinates into the Waze app and it’ll lead right there🤙🏼

Report Check-In

Big gravel lot with a huge trash dumpster. This is just off highway 62 on Dillahunty road. Had a good collection of RV, Vans and some camping in tents, many waiting for entry into Carlsbad Caverns. Shows up in Google maps as Chosa Campground. Notcied some camping further out.

Report Check-In

Small level dirt pad with scattered cow dung around. Three or four cars went by in the night.

My personal favorite out of all the places close to here. It’s easily accessible but feels private enough with some other campers around! Will definitely be back

Report Check-In

Google maps took me a bit further up the road, but I just turned around. It seems to me like an RV could fit here just fine.

Report Check-In

great open space. few spots along the road(trail). passed by another van camping, but i went further down and parked near a pipe that runs along the ground. good service for verizon

Report Check-In

Pull up about a mile down the road off Dullahanty Rd. There are three are for camping spots up to the left and off to the right. Not big enough for an RV but definitely fans and smaller campers will fit comfortably back there. Complete privacy, great view of the stars at night and sunrise in the morning.

Report Check-In

nice spot ..... covid camping. no one else is here. i probably get my 30’ travel trailer through this, but any bigger would be pushing it

Report Check-In

stayed 2nights here in a van with tent. Left the tent during the day, it felt safe!
was 1 other rv a bit up the road. On that spot a larger rv can make a turn.
was quiet! only a few cars and trucks past by during the day.
a lot better than staying on the campground in Guadalupe mountains (parkinglot) and even way better than staying at Chosa at the beginning of this road!

Report Check-In

Nice spot but EXTREMELY windy. Several campers, vans, and tent campers.

Report Check-In

solid, ample space, surrounded by mountains. RVs at the beginning of the
road. easy to find a spot before heading to caverns.

Report Check-In

Easy road, short distance from highway. Verison LTE only for smaller vehicles.
