Latest Check-Ins

As described a interesting place.
Plan on going at low tide, since most of the stuff are in the water.
You are not allowed a camera, makes no sense because they allowed me to bring out my cell phone to take pictures.
If my Spanish was better I would have argued with them.
I went back to the car and put my camera in my backpack, and sneaked some pictures. If you want to bring your camera, put it in a backpack and play stupid afterwards, as you pay it say no camera, but at the sight it say you can take pictures, so who knows.
The guide is not a person but a informative pamflet.

Worth the drive in. I got here at 6pm and parked in the front, the following morning I went to the museum and walked along the beach to view the petroglyphs. 90 pesos super nice people, I felt safe as a solo person parked out the front.

There are at least three camping spots here. I stayed at the second which can be found on the the second track on the right after the Las Labradas museum site. Just the waves at night. Doña Alicia at the desk let me camp after visiting the site that morning. Small rigs only. Brought out a bag of trash with me to show respect. Beautiful area. Rocky beach. They say there are “duendes” in this area. Very magical. Left an offering.

We visited Las Labradas archeological site, (worth a stop, 85 pesos entrance p/p) and asked if we could camp on the beach nearby so they opened the gate to let us take the trail. Great place on the sandy terrace overlooking the beautiful deserted beach. sadly someone dumped garbage by the trail nearby. Sandy trail is a bit soft, use 4x4 and if possible deflate your tires.

we visited this place in 2016. it's very well done. be sure to visit at low tide. the designs are similar to some in Wrangell, Alaska. Stones on the beach.

Nice and quiet place to sleep. We arrived late to visit and they let us expend the night at the parking lot with our RV, use the bathrooms, have some water if we needed. Really helpful and kind people. The guided tour is pretty good (we made it in Spanish), definitely worth the 60 pesos.
