had a great time, staff was amazing. the place you sleep in is basically a really big room below deck, with doubles and big bunks. curtains at each one if you need to change / privacy. boat was in good conditions, bikes were secured and handled carefully, no damage whatsoever.

This is the official meeting point to load your motorcycle on to the Stahlratte, a beautiful steel sailing yacht built over 100 years ago, the Stahlratte was a highlight of our trip without a doubt. Sailing between Cartagena and Panama, the Ship offers parking for up to 19 motorcycles to get around the Darien Gap. Amazing food on board, with 3 meals per day for 4 days and snacks being included in the ticket. The ship goes via the San Blas islands, with white sand and clear blue seas, you have a BBQ in the beach of an uninhabited island, swing off the boat into the sea, meet the local Kuna people of the islands and snorkel the reefs (snorkeling equipment aboard the ship). We absolutely recommend sailing with the Stahlratte between Panama and Colombia to cross the Darien Gap! Four days on the yacht, one day of sailing on open ocean, other days for anchor at the San Blas Islands, a dream location! On board are double beds and bunk beds, fresh water, great food, lots of place to relax, great swimming and snorkling and super friendly crew with Captain 'Lulu' Ludwig. The bikes were properly secured on the yacht and easily on- and offloaded. Good value for money!!
