Description

No real campsites in this area but the Bidi Badu resort let us park next to their place right on the beach and we only had to pay 200 k.shilling for a guard. They let us use the toilets and we used the ocean as a shower.

Really nice place with a cool vibe. Food is really good and reasonably priced. They arrange for all kinds of activities and I did a dive that was amazing. The beach is incredible and we camped just a few meters from the high tide.

Definitely recommended!

It is definitely a nice place at the beautiful beach! The place which they offer to overlanders at the moment is not what we expected... we could park and pop up our rooftop tent at the parking area behind one building. It looked like a firewood storage place with no charme. We didn't felt comfortable and left after one night.

You can relax at the beachfront restaurant, use a kitchen and the pool and of course spend your time at the beach. The location is great - which the Campingspot isn't. We would not come back for camping :(.
Will upload pictures, that you can make your own "opinion".

Great place! Well kept and renovated, under german management now.
It is THE place to go on the beach in Diani/Galu for every taste:
Thorsten (the german owner) just upgraded the bungalows, beach bar, great restaurant (try the wood oven pizza!), pool and he even added a brand new tennis court!
The Overlander Camping area is just under construction, but the very helpful and friendly staff will find you a good spot for your rig, up to a big van size. There is usually a nice sporty, not too old, crowd hanging out at the comfortable beach sofas, who come to use the kitesurfing station.
Don’t miss this place, its the best beach location with a vibe around !!

We do not recommend this lodge for BigRigs. We didn't go in here because the driveway is narrow and blocked with low-hanging branches. In addition, a thick branch at a height of maybe 3.5m protrudes over the driveway.

Now called SOUL BREEZE :) same location just a name change as of a couple of months ago. Renovations of the “camping” area still underway and the manager (Gordon) gave us some location options, as well as a key to a room to use the shower/toilet and electricity using our own extension cord. Great relaxed vibe. Clean beach area. Tennis courts, two swimming pools, beach volleyball, outdoor gym, dive centre and reasonably priced beers :) ... 1,500 Ksh for the pitch.

No special campsite, we stand in garden-/parkingarea with our campervan, but they are going to build a special campsite.
We can use the backpacker kitchen with fridge, gas-stove and sink.
The restaurant is amazing located at the beach with very good food and reasonable prices.
There are two pools, but who needs a pool when you can have this absolutely fantastic beach and ocean?
They charge not per person, you pay just for the stand (1500 KSH).
Everybody is really helpful and friendly, except the monkeys, take care of them!
Directly outside the gate are a few local shops, the next big supermarket (Chandarana) is at the main road, a short ride with a tuktuk.
We stayed here several weeks and enjoyed every day.

we spent 4 nights there.
didn't actually found the "wild place" next to the restaurant as it seems occupied now.
but we stayed on the hotel parking/garden and could access the facilities " toilets, shower, 2 swimming pools and of course the very very beautiful white sand beach.
paid 15$/night for a 7meters campervan and 5 people (we have 3 kids) with electricity plug.
monkeys in the trees are annoying when eating outside our truck.
note that the manager told us they were building a proper campsite to welcome overlanders. it should be ready soon
