Kombi Jorge | Mechanic and Parts

George is a VW van specialist, our Kombi had an oil leak. He cleaned the engine to see where the leak was and then dedicated us a day to take the engine apart, change the gaskets and put it back together. Great service, fast, at a fair price. I can only recommend his services!

Estuvimos una semana con George mientras arreglaba nuestra VW combi 1976, llegamos a él por recomendación y nos vamos muy contentos con su trabajo, dejó nuestro motor funcionando de maravilla listo para muchos kilómetros más. Además el tiempo ahí fue muy ameno, ya que él y su familia fueron muy hospitalarios. Totalmente recomendado.

We spent a whole week in George's Garage, he is the best mechanic in town. Our 1976 Vw Kombi is like brand new after George's fix to our motor and gear box. We had a great time there with George's family which is extremely welcoming, without a doubt the best option in Chetumal.

we were at jorge's place door quite a few days while working on our vw vanagon. he's a skilled mechanic, very friendly (it helps if you speak spanish in some cases) and precise. I would definetly recommend him, he has a vanagon aswell, so in comparrison to alot of other mechanics he's quite femilliar with them.
While we were there he moved to his new workshop, I changed the coordinates

We came here only for an oil change and a general inspection of the van. Jorge is a really skilled mechanic and is specialized in VW Vanagons / Combis.
I think he was the first mechanic on our trip that really had a close look at everything. He changed our spark plugs, all the liquids and even cleaned the motor ( we have been driving a lot of dirt roads lately).
When we broke down on the Chedraui parking lot about an hour later, we called him and he immediately came by to fix the problem with the ground wire (free of charge).
A day later we broke down again, this time in the middle of the street. Called him and again he showed up as fast as he could. This time, the battery was dead (it was way to old). He drove us to Auto Zone to get a new one and even installed it for us. And again, free of charge.
So of course, braking down two times wasn’t a great, but we really felt like we were in good hands. Would absolutely recommend him.

We left our RV for a few days at Jorge’s workshop to fix a few stuffs. ( leakages on windows and windshields, electric work, fiber glass repairs, etc)
I really appreciated the proactive way in which he fixed a few little details for no extra cost ( which actually make a difference ) and also offered his experiences to fix other more important repairs which we agreed to do and really made huge difference on the driving ( oxidation on the chassis badly needed to be greased)…

Trustworthy and professional team ! Your rig is in good hands ! ( not only for VW Combi)

We went to Jorge to change things on our solarpanel construction. New battery, panel and some wire work. He could help us (with the help of google translater) with the battery. The rest was not possible since there were no spare parts. Trustworthy and competent guy! Altough not experienced with solar panel constructions on cars. If you need a mecanic in chetumal jorge (and his family) recommended!

The best mechanic in Mexico! specialist in kombis and vw in addition to other classics diesel. works at a high level, with high quality materials. He repaired rust and painted our VW LT40 4x4. it was really new! He repaired the fiber of the roof, protected the chassis from oxides with special paint. He repaired the rear brakes that we had smashed. not the smallest detail was missed. all in record time and at a great price. He even left us a kombi to move us to Bacalar during the repair. 101% recommended. If you need to repair or improve something on your vehicle, take advantage of it! I really did not think I would find this level in Mexico.

Jorge was an angel with my kombi, I was staying in Bacalar and got scammed pretty bad, I'd say.
after finding his number I called him and he went all the way there with his own beautiful kombi.
he is super professional, trustworthy and honest, do not hesitate to contact him (I don't know if he does every car tho)

Jorge helped us the last 3 weeks to totally build our own combi. We came to Jorge with a combi we bought from Facebook, which turned out to be really bad. I decided to buy a project car from Jorge and made up a plan. (With google
translate ) we worked 21 days, restored parts, painted the vehicle and build a camper interior. Jorge has knowledge where to get parts, had lots of used parts himself and is cheap in labor cost. He is part of a combi club so he has lots of connections. My experience with Jorge and his friends and family was fantastic. If you have a combi and needs anything he is your guy!
